We lack ant Street Smarts on Offense

12.29 to go first quarter. 3rd and 8. Tannehill to Matthews; ruled a complete pass on the field, but was quite obviously iffy to say the least. GET TO THE LINE AND RUN A PLAY. What do we do. No urgency, Tannehill reading the defence pre snap. I'm shouting at the computer screen....challenge flag thrown. Punt!!!
It really gets to me. The offense don't seem organised enough to deal with these situation. The Pats would have run a play.
This isn't rocket science. SORT IT OUT.
 
Look at the last minute of first half of last bills game. Same Same. No urgency. We end up with a one pass play to Sims for nothing....we just don't have the killer mentality on this team.

I think in the end, Jason Garrett throws the challenge flag, even if we were moving quicker, but even in chat I said "look how pathetically slow this offense is". Just no urgency by anybody.
 
Well were supposed to be running an up tempo offense according to our OC. We can't even run an up tempo 2 min drill most of the time.

That play pissed me off, the only person who got it was Landry, you see him signaling for Ryan to snap the ball. Ryan is very robotic, i think it's the coaches fault, for trying to take "thinking" out of his game. It's like wtf, QBs in the NFL need to "think" that's how you win!

Ironically, we seem most effective offensively when we are playing fast....yet we fail to do it with any frequency. It's like the run game, if it is working, lets abandon it and do something else.
 
we also lack smarts - especially punt and kick returns close to the goal line.

I think the OP is trying to say the franchise trys to think small so they can play small but they screw that up too , you know...lack of ant smarts :lol2:
 
i was saying the same thing during the sequence.. i was yelling at the tv to hurry up.. the sad thing is that fans get it and no coaches seem to get it
