We lost this game because of coaching

Was that Dave Wannstad on the side line last night coaching this game? Twice we settle for field goals when you know your defens is not playing well. The second one was the worst. Go for the first down by throwing. Play for the td. The play calling at the end of the game was terrible at best. Everyone on here is blaming Ted Ginn and our defense, I'm blaming our coaching staff. We have a lot of work to do, this team has a lot of problems.

We sure didn't work hard enough game planning for Dallas Clark. No way should you try to cover Clark with people like Channing Crowder. It's just a MISMATCH. Pure and simple. Channing simply can't keep up with guys like that. Channing isn't too good as a coverage guy.

Yeah, it's like the coaching staff has no confidence in our passing game.... I know we were running well, but running on 3rd and 6 instead of taking a chance throwing downfield to Bess, or Ginn who was converting 3rd downs all night.... I feel like the staff really has no confidence in the passing game

Other than a QB sneak in the 2 minute drill, I thought the play calling on offense was ok. The plays may not have worked, but I can understand the logic in calling them. The defensive schemes called were horrible though.

You're ok with the run call on 3rd and 6 with 4 min to go and tied game in the 4th quarter after Peytons performance all game???

The run plays on 3rd and long were not good calls. Why should we be setting up for Fgs? Why not try to get a 1st down and maybe even a touch down? It seemed like we were just happy to be in fg range.

The 2 draw plays to start the game were pretty stupid too. One I could understand, but they used up 1 min 18 sec and a timeout to gain 2 yards on 2 draw plays.

This team isnt as bad as the media makes it out to be but its nowhere near as good as some of us thought . one media pundit says miami 's defense will cause it to lose several games . Mark Rodgers said the Jets pats and bills wil have winning records while miami struggles to win 5 games.

I couldn't agree more. Everyone was happy and TS was clapping after the FG. I was thinking what the hell are you doing. Running on third down to set up a field goal to take a 3 point lead against Manning who was carving the D all night. I don't understand that at all. They should have been attacking in that situation. Throw the ball. Play to win the damn football game.

Look, I agree that our coaching staff was the problem in the loss. I said it was conservative playcalling on the last drive when we decided to go for a field goal.

But to compare Sparano to Wanstetd is ridiculous and absurd. I beleive we have one of the best coaches in the league right now. Wanstetd could not have won a game last year with the talent that was on our team.

I beleive you were trying to be sarcastic, but comparing Wanny to Sparano is a low blow.

Exactly! Add the fact their D was tired and Penny was in a grove picking up I think 3 (maybe 2) 3rd and longs on the drive already. Also the FG was not a chip shot and was in the dirt! Mind boggleing actually!
