look forward to fknding one who can reguarly make field goals. Doesnt sound like the guys we drafted is good at that kinda important part of the job.
 
Yea I agree but our special teams coach has done a good job with kickers so I will digress for now.
 
I don’t know why we didn’t just resign Parkey. We saved a few bucks and then used a draft pick (yeah I know it’s a 7th) to get a replacement. Meh.
 
I wanted Pinero. However, I hear that Sanders has a BIG leg. It will be fun to see how the kicking battle plays out.
 
Sander's junior and senior season are night and day. If they can figure out why he struggled after a good junior season and get him back to form, we got a potential good kicker with a really strong leg. It's risky to rely on him being our starter if we do, but I see what they saw in him. Only thing we can do is trust Rizzi.

Don't have to search far in this thread.....maybe you should run through it one more time.

Sander's college career actually has some similarities to Cairo Santos. Point is, evaluating kickers is basically impossible so it's not worth analyzing college stats and getting worked up over.

Sure, that makes more sense than just stating or quoting which one (or more, I guess) you're referring to. Saw one post in which the poster wished we re-signed Parkey, but was pretty indifferent to this signing. Another pointed out the inaccuracy issue, but again, seemed relatively indifferent. Hope they didn't break anything in their house with such unbridled anger. Maybe you can elaborate, because I'm not seeing the "mad" you're referring to.

Anyways, who cares. it's a kicker. If he sucks, he can be replaced pretty much any time, like many teams do. If he plays well, kool.
 
We are going to be blowing other teams out this year so a missed FG here or there won't matter. Stills, Parker, and Amedola are gonna be TD machines when Tanny throws for 35 TDs. FGs will just be moot when we're up 35-7 over the Bears in the 3rd Quarter. 13-3 record first round bye.
