This guy is the definition of freak of nature. When he was born he weighed fifteen pounds. He now stands 6'7 386. He also has a nasty motor. This guy could probably block anyone in the league especially once he has a training camp or two under his belt. There are only so many guys like this dude. The best part is his team nicknamed him "The House" because he is as big as a house lol.

Seriously he also has a second round grade so we could pick him up with relative ease. Who else agrees we should at the very least give this guy a long hard look? He would help the run game tremendously. Imagine this line:

Jake Long
Justin Smiley
Alex Mack
Vernon Carey
Herman Johnson

with Satele backing up both guards and center. That would set our line for the next ten years. Hell even if Johnson ended up at guard we would still be set with Carey at tackle.

I'll wait to see more of him.

He's huge, but can he contain the speed rushers. Maybe as a gaurd, but if it's as a right tackle, I'd have to wait and see. Loadholt would be the better option at right tackle in my opinion.

The speed rushers come at you on the left side. The other rushers aren't as fast. Also he is more for the run game than anything. He could push the whole pile forward by himself. I do like Loadholt too and we could probably get both in the second which would make our line huge and nasty. I have changed my mind on Mack after seeing a video on him. He falls down every play.
 
Also I just looked at Loadholt. He has a bit of a drinking problem. Two arrests related to alcohol. One was a disorderly conduct, but those are almost always given to people because alcohol is involved. The other was a DUI with an open container in the car.

hahaha, this isnt madden, teams will ROTATE there LBs to your weakness. if you have a RT that cant contain speed rushers, where do you think the D is gonna put there speed rushers?
 
johnson is a G not a T. end of story.

i want him at G bc he is a monster.

I didn't say they don't rotate them. I said typically the speed rushers come from the left is all. Also I said T/G which means either or. We try him at RT if he doesn't look comfortable in camp he's the RG/LG depending on which one Smiley/Thomas excels at if they are both back from their injuries.

Correct. He's a monster, and would be a solid G in the league with his massive size. If the front office is absolutely sure that Smiley can't be 100% from this injury, I'd take the chance on Johnson in the 2nd OR Duke Robinson in the first.

one thing with him once he locks on u ur done. we need a G like that. hes a mauler and i dont wna bank on a unproven playe rin thomas or an injured smiley. either way he should start if he comes through cuz we need some serious beef on the inside.

Herman Johnson has been assaulted by speed since he's stepped foot on the field at the senior bowl...he can't sniff right tackle...

And couldn't get any push in the run game against Peria Jerry at guard...

Johnson doesn't move well at all....he looks every bit of that 380 pounds...


Kraig Urbik is the one you want...
 
HERMAN JOHNSON:

he is a huge monster that plods and has no base. he's gonna be stumbling around in the NFL trying to move laterally and get under pads. He's almost too top heavy and slow for the NFL's quickness. Sports starts in the legs, and he doesn't have base!!!

i cant wait for people to hate me and yell for saying this.... No way i want Herman Johnson
