If we stay at nine, we must get the best player available. This team has done nothing but hurt themselves by not going that route.
Looking at all the scenarios, I would have to say Laron Landry has to be the guy. Everyone has to stop fooling themselves with Brady Quinn. He might be the guy, but the risk of trading a lot to get a QB with no guarentees. The problem with QB, there is no third QB. Last year, they were three big guns. We can't wait for one to slip to us like Arizona. This team has not hit on a super star via the draft since Jimmy's days. The best player and most ready to be a hit of a pick, and no pun intended is Laron Landry. With moving Allen to safety, it gives him an opening day starting spot, and we all know this guy has everything to be the next big time Ed Reed. All I am saying is no more getting a player for need, no more gambles. Yes the draft is a gamble, but try to make the safest pick as possible. I would like to see a player come in, and be a star. We are longing for that. I also feel that Kolb and Palmer could be just as good of players as Quinn, for a lot less money, and a lot less of a total investment. We need to do what's best for the franchise, and I hope this year we get it right. I am not the GM, this is an opinion.
