We need a CB, NOT Ronnie Brown

Im already thinking drafting Ronnie Brown was a mistake. We have Ricky Williams, Lamar Gordon, Travis Minor, and Sammy Morris. I say we get rid of Ronnie or just flat out trade him for a rookie CB like Fabien Washington, PacMan Jones....NOW we NEED a CB, (and OL) but honestly...instead of giving Ronnie 22 million, just trade him for a CB who will cost less. We NEED a CB now, NOT a RB. :fire:

you don't get it...heh. Ricky is a bum...ya that's right...he's still a bum...we will trade him sooner or later...probably later. you can't depend on him.

Gordon...Minor...Morris...they're okay...not great backs...and in no way are they franchise backs.

Brown...well he's another story...this kid could be a franchise back for us...for a long time...he's got the skills and he's a great all around player.

As for our defensive backs...Saban is a defensive minded coach...it was one preseason game...and all of a sudden we need to trade Brown to get help on our secondary...c'mon people...stop jumping the gun.

Let's give it some time...we have 4 more preseason games...we have a solid coaching staff...I believe that our defense will be fine.

AT THE TIME you needed a RB. or you could have taken the best player on the board, (which many thaught was brown). yall didnt know ricky wouldl come back.

but after what ricky did (retiring) do you really want to have to rely on him? he would be the only RB worth a damn on your team, if brown doesnt sign. i dont trust ricky to play the whole season. why do you?

You want to know why we need an RB. Stop looking at names, and look at numbers.

Ricky plays 12 games. I strongly support him, and think he'll do great. But he will never be the core of the offense again. What he does is just icing on the cake, no one expects anything from him. Gordon is being used as bait, he will be traded. Minor could never break through to the #1 spot. Who else do we really have? Sammy Morris ran with heart, but was never a top tier back. Look at our pre-season game... 41 RUSHING YARDS!!! OUR AMAZING RUNNINGBACKS AMOUNTED 41 YARDS! Warrick Dunn, Thomas Jones, AND Jason Wright ALL HAVE MORE YARDS THAN THAT! So call me crazy, but I think we need Ronnie.
