We all need to agree that Ronnie isnt ready to handle it himself. Did anyone notice last season how inside the 5 yard line ronnie couldn't get it in? Remmeber the Chargers game where he fumbled at the goal line. I think Sammy Morris who is a very good goal line back should get the ball inside the 5.

I know alot of you feel ronnie is gonna have a great year, but I dont think he will. He just doesn't have that edge that other RBs have inside the ten. He wont score alot this season. He is a great receiver and a good guy to get yardage but he isnt a scoring threat from what we have seen.

Its just my opinion but remember how well Sammy did in 2004 when he got a chance? I hope Saban lets Sammy play more.

I remember how decent compared to the other backs Miami had during the 2004 season. I remember a runningback that scared no one and got a lot of garbage yards.

If Sammy Morris was the answer at RB he would have been named the starter years ago. He has had his chances and is still the backup, albeit a decent one. He is like the Jay Fiedler of Phins RBs.

No we all do not! :rolleyes2

I think we can all agree that your issues with Ronnie's skills are ridiculous.

Well at least he's not the Ray Lucas

i'm agreeing with you.

As for the thread starter...Ronnie was a rookie. He will do fine. Some people and their ridiculous statements. This isn't Madden Football. ALL rookies make mistakes. and you pointed out a rare two that ronnie had in his first year.

You will be eating a heaping pile of crow come 3 games inwhen you wake up and realize what type of special back we have.

Man there are seasoned vets who make more than a few mistakes a year. He'll be good just don't expect him to be absolutley perfect

Ronnie will be fine. Another year of pro experience, plus the muscle he added over the last year, will improve him in the red zone. Too many rookies just try to move the pile, not realizing that they can't. Gotta find a seam and exploit it, but around the goal line it's pretty busy and it takes some time for most to grasp it, if they ever do. I think RB has, and will be much improved this year.

All I saw last year was a guy with great balance who runs with power. Ronnie will get about 1500 yards this year if he is carrying the load.

If you are referring to the goal line situation it wasnt Ronnie Browns fault.

CPep and James tripped over each other which eliminated an important blocker from the play.Ronnie has plenty of power and will make those TDs during the season.

i think that if we could have better o-line....he will score more tds

I don't know that everyone will agree with you that Ronnie is not ready to handle it by himself. I know that I do not. Numerous teams have different packages that they use in short yardage situations. Whether it be Tight Ends, Receivers or Fullbacks. Just because that happens, does not mean a player cannot handle it by themselves as it appears you are insinuating. I think Ronnie will be fine and of course he will get his breaks when other backs come in for a couple of plays.

you say ur the biggest f in fan from CT huh??

nahhhhhhhhh you dont even believe in ur teams runninback who has done nothing to prove that he is not ready to handle himself.

ohhh nooo ronnie couldnt get the ball in from the 5 a couple times last year???? oh man ...i mean good god how many other teams have that same problem sometimes... exactly. And if anyone watched the panthers preseason game the other night on that goal line situation you would know that the o line SUCKED and pulling a lineman isnt smart considerin he fell on the way to the other side while ronnie gets about 3 panthers knockin the mess outta him and he may of not been able to get in but he did not budge 1 yard backwards and idoubt any RB in the league coulda scored on that play PERIOD.

all i have to say to all of the ronnie b. doubters out there is to go take a look on youtube or google video at ronnie's highlight video from last year and then tell me hes not ready....

Remember a few years back when Tiki Barber was in danger of losing his job because of fumbles? He wasn't a rookie then and they worked with him on his problem and the guy is unbelievable now.
