Not to coach, put him in Parcells' old role. He has the power to hire the right people and build the structure the way he sees fit. Pay the man whatever it takes, but get a winner in here to do things the right way!!!!!

I agree, kind of. Whenever I think about who'd I most want drafting my players, it's Jimmy.

I just don't know where he's at with age/health/mental sharpness to still be that keen on talent.

Defensive player's especially, I'd love for him to draft for Miami.

Like Parcells, I don't think he has it in him anymore.

He's mailed it in years ago, and I doubt he wants to come back to the NFL. Now, he has an awesome job with Fox and he has all the free time in the world to fish etc.

I loved Jimmy when he was at the UM, Dolphins, and now Fox. But he quit on the Dolphins once and gave us Wannstedt as a going away present. No thanks.

Yeah, we do. So, when he gets bored & 'retires' he can put Dave W in charge.... which is what started Miami's death spiral all those yrs ago

Keep JJ as far away from the Dolphins as humanly possible. He quit on them before and left the team worse off than when he took over.

Why? So we can run him off AGAIN?!

Honestly, does anything really matter? It's just another half measure. We will manage to screw up this rebuild too.

Until we are sold, this is screwed. It brings a smile to my face when Ross is embarrassed in front of his friends when he brings them to games. If we can't have fun watching our team, then he shouldn't.

Great idea.....his selection of Wannstedt to succeed him was a tbing of beauty....not

No....no groudhog day please.

Find a good man and let him do his thing....someone hungry!

Ship has sailed...literally. His heart is on the high seas

JJ was great in the pre-free agent era. Once free agency was implemented, he was lost. He has even admitted as much. This was his biggest struggle when he came to Miami. He didn't know how to build a team with the new rules.

he won both of his SBs in the FA era.

JJ is retired and one of those guys never coming back to the game. he has a cushy, high paying, no stress job now.

He was the first bad cell that started this cancer that is now the dolphins....and u want him back?
Christ...how can we complain about stupid football players when most of our fans are borderline ********?
We get what we deserve...

People really need to stop desperately hanging on to names of yesterday.

Move on already.

Jimmy Johnson is perfectly happy simply talking about football and collecting a pay check. Guy wants nothing to do with the stressful, infinite grind of NFL personnel. And he certainly doesn't give one single **** about making sad fans happy.

Find the next guy.

Isn't thay what we have been doing since Jimmy left, finding the next guy? Jimmy didn't quit Marino was washed up and wouldn't quit and Jimmy didn't like being told he couldn't do what he wanted and bench Marino.

First off, Jimmy was great as a talent evaluator. I doubt his keen senses are still with him. Secondly, Jimmy didn't make anyone keep Want ache as his successor. Huizenga made that mistake and kept him. He could have been fired. So it was not Jimmy decision to keep him there.
