for the game vs the yets to clog up the middle. Traylor is the only big guy we have clogging up the middle.Zgonina and especially Hollidays gets blown off the line cuz they arent heavy guys.

There are guys like Josh Shaw Damian Gregory Mario Fatafehi or Dorsett Davis that could do a better job stopping the run than Zgonina and Holliday :(

I'm not sure you saw the game on Sunday if you said that Holliday got blown off...He is a force on that D-line...:shakeno:

Did you see Sunday's game???

We held Denver to 20 carries for 70 yards.

Denver!!!!! The best rushing team in the NFL..........20/70.

Holliday (and Zgonina) did great!

PS - Did you see the goal-line stands???? 5 plays - no score. Then (2nd time) scored only on 4th down--after being stopped 3 more times.....
AWESOME!!!!!

from what i saw at the game, bear in mind i didnt have the opportunity to go back and watch the game on tv, holliday penetrated some gaps quickly and disrupted some plays in the backfield. carter was a force as well. i think our dline rotation is great, we got pass rushers, taylor, hole pluggers traylor, gap penetrators like holliday and carter, and versatile players like bowens and even roth, who appears at the least stout at the point of attack against the run thus far

take away that 1 30 yard run by bell, and they did nothing NOTHING and plummer did nothing either. we shut there whole team down, remember thats the vaunted denver broncos run game that we just stuffed, the one that chris berman could run for 1000 yds behind there oline...

Did McGill get any action on Sunday?

I don't think he did but I can't remember.

He was inactive.

watch the game before you hate on the players

Who is hating on the players? I saw Holliday get thrown to the ground several times.Because i say that im hating on the players?Id rather bigger guys at Dt to stop the run.And those players i mentioned would do a better job.Yea we played very well last sunday but we could be even better at DT.
Its just my opinion no need to be an ***.

34...I saw Holliday get thrown to the ground twice (actually chopped low), but both times it was behind the LOS...clogging things up, just like he's supposed to...Just because a guy gets tossed, doesn't mean he didn't already do his job of disrupting the play...It's not about one guy in one position...it's about how the group plays...Holliday did his job. You have to look at the responsibilities of each position on each play. In Sabans D, one play it will be Holliday's resp. to get into the backfield, the next play it'll be his resp. to hold up at the line and read the RBs (for screens and draws)...it's just not as simple as seeing him on the ground and saying he didn't do his job....

I love the "take away that play" remarks that end up on this site to make things appear better but lets focus on what happened and analyze that. The fact of the matter is that the 30 yard run was to the outside because the middle of our d line had the run stopped, Bell bounced outside to make the run. This statment supports the middle of the line did their job instead of taking away a play that happend. Sorry to get on you particularly but I have just had enough of posters on this site going to "take away that play" mentality to justify or try to improve or worsen a players or teams actual performance. What happend happend and it cant be "taken away".

all im saying is its the truth, they broke one ONE long run all game, almost half of there total for the whole game. thats saying something when half your rushing yard total for the whole game comes on a single play

34...you do know that its OK not to start a thread with every idea that pops into your head...right? These threads are pointless. Kinda like the "Trade Booker to Green Bay" or "I still support AJ threads". This gets terminal sometimes...:shakeno:
