As an Oregon Duck fan, I was excited about that move, and then... well, yeah. I think he was still in shell-shock from his years with the Lions.

And for all the Move Up And Draft A QB talk... Harrington was drafted 3rd overall in 2002. He might have turned out better if he were drafted by a better team and allowed to sit and learn for a season but it goes to show that the draft is a crap-shoot.
 
they missed their chance to get vince young for cheap. at least it would have been legit competition for Henne.

IMO Moore is legit competition for Henne. But even if we signed Young, Henne is on such a long leash with Saprano that there still would be no "official" competition.
 
funny thing is most of the backups on other teams could start for us

I have been giving henne the benefit of the doubt till now. We need a qb just to make it through this season. I like sparano and really dont want to see him leave. Its not his fault that the tuna screwed up the offense. We would be a contender with a decent quarterback. I would even consider Culpepper at this point. He wont be worse than Henne. What other veteran QB's are still outt there?

Henne didn't just suck on Friday, he appeared much like Culpepper did in his time with us- beaten even before the snap.

I expected to see considerable rust, not colossally lost.

Anyway, don't see the big deal about being excited about Moore, even blindly excited if that is the case. I am a die-hard Dolphin fan. I wake up depressed on loss-column Mondays. If you can't wholeheartedly agree that it feels like aeons ( a gimmick offense, a RB who ran it to perfection, and an amazing year for an aging QB) since we as fans had a reason to be excited about this team, you're Homer's Odysseus type homer- lost at sea.

Even when the playoff team mentioned above was embarrased by a familiar coach's defense, a Dolphin fan had to know that the promise of the wildcat for the year to follow was no longer a reason for excitment.

Moore = anything to get excited about. I'll take it if that's all there is to take.

What are u talking about? 2 drops, one turned into an INT . . . he made plays with his legs . . . TWICE. He had miscommunication with Hartline on one play and he had a bad play on the second INT. He wasn't colossally lost . . . . please.

The guy looked in better shape and had a nice TD pass to Hartline . . . broken coverage or not. It was the first preseason game . . . stop with your agenda.

He could come out and stink it up on Friday, I dunno, but he definitely wasn't colossally lost in that game.
