The pats have moss,welker and galloway and Brady is back. T.O and lee evans
 
we are building from the ground up & this is year two of the process
I ran a thread on Terrius George & Cameron Wake a few days ago.
if they hit the road running, they could redefine the defense.
we need to draft a NT & a CB
but we're really not in bad shape in either department
look for Jason Allen to step up
 
they really got galloway?? This is ridiculous, boy do I hate them. Yea galloway is a year from being done but his speed is amazing and hes a beast. Cheers to Brady never being the same and trent edwards continue regressing!!
 
We need to get a lot better on D imo. We can't possibly expect this group of CB's to stop anyone on their own. We need more talent in the front 7 and we simply don't have it right now. We can hope Langford and Merling have great seasons, but only entering their second season I wouldn't count on much. We have only one playmaker in the LB group and he's no spring chicken and the NT position is anything but dominant or deep.

I think Maimi looked capable agaisnt some very bad teams in 08, well we don't have the luxury of a soft schedule in 09 so we better hope that the continuity and coming off a winning season help. However, as far as talent goes, we don't have much talent that can be called dominant.
 
I think Langford & Merling will play much better this year. Also have faith in Soliai & Allen. All four of these guys have the potential to fill in the holes in 2009. Am absolutely intrigued with the possibilities @ line backer with George & Wake. I see the glass half full & like what I see.
we're not going to the SuperBowl this year w/o Divine Intervention. patience. enjoy the process. it will be an entertaining & competitive year.

I have faith we'll be a better team than last year, I just don't think the outcome will be as joyful. Now maybe I'm wrong about the seasons ahead, but looking at the schedule ahead and knowing where our weaknesses are, I find it unlikely we have the same success this year.
 
I actually think we are not in bad shape now on offense. I wouldn't care if we spend all our picks on D
 
man the denial is beyond beleif.

we ranked near the bottom on offense and in the passing game yet our defense did well until we played the Rayvens especially the oline.
I will agree our secondary needs to be priority 1 and our dline shoud be priority 2 but wr corp needs a a #1 and a #2 wr Ted Ginn is so overrated , if anyone thinks he is going to be a wr to get us to the big dance then we are in a world of hurt.
 
12-4. I was right last season with 11-5 and I'm not going to be scared of this seasons schedule. We will be better. We signed who we wanted early in FA and even before it started. Just because our foes are picking up trash and crossing their fingers don't mean any of their desperations will hurt us. Their is plenty of offseason left for us to continue our dominance and DEFEND OUR CHAMPIONSHIP.
 
how the season will play out for the true Dolfan depends less on the win/loss ration & more upon expectations
I have structured my expectation in a way that is reasonable & appropriate to a team in its second year of a four year rebuilding project.
I strongly suggest everyone consider the reality of our situation & enjoy the process.
should be a competitive & an entertaining year of football.:D
