I just read about some rumors that the Jets have expressed interest in T.O.
We need to improve our secondary fast if he is to go there.

<Jan. 10> The Eagles plan to give Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, permission today to seek a trade for the receiver, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Multiple teams have expressed interest in Owens, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets. Any team interested in Owens would either have to assume the contract he negotiated with the Eagles or attempt to work out a new deal with the wide receiver. Owens has five seasons remaining on his contract and is due a $2.5 million signing bonus and $5 million roster bonus March 1. He is due a base salary of $770,000 next season.

If Rosenhaus is unable to find a taker for Owens, the Eagles will release him before the March 1 deadline, which is when the league's new calendar year begins.

Why? He will play about 4 games and blow up because pennington cant throw deep

We shut down Moss and he is a MUCH more dangerous player than TO is

:lol:funny but really i dont think it happens again, i do believe hes better than moss though, just because hes younger, T.O. is a great player, horrible attitude but great player.....

as for the original post....i dont think one WR into our division will prompt us to go crazy and sign a bunch of DB's, yes we need to improve in the first place but we do get Will Poole back next year and if we can get Kelly from tampa i think we'd be fine with Lance and Tebucky at safety.....

I guess you are right to a certain extent. I still don't want to see TO twice a year. He is still a very dangerous reciever no matter who is throwing the ball IMO.

No he cant throw the deep ball

He practically takes a running start and puts everything into it AND STILL UNDERTHROWS IT

He beat us with bad passes and great WR play earlier this year

Moss had 1 catch on which he didnt look very hurt

He was shut down no matter how you slice it

No maybe ive just kept my eyes open when pennington plays

He is great on short routes but his deep passes leave a LOT to be desired

Jogging huh?

He has been known to do that when NOT hurt, also Plaxico Burress was jogging the whole game last week to was he injured? no

how are you going to argue this alex. go look up the stats. you dont remember santana moss and coles killing our great CBs in the deep ball? pennington has always been extremely successful on the deepball. please just look up the stats.

and incase you watched the game on mute, they said over and over in the game that he was about 75% or so and he was still injured.

Moss at 75% is still better than 99% of other recievers at 100%

Have you watched pennigton play the last 2 years?

The ball floats and jump ball situations occur thats what happend this year and last year when we played him, he underthrows it almost everytime

Anyone can throw the deep ball when the can just wind up and throw, but with any pressure at all he cant get it there

Pennington throws a nice deep ball. He doesnt have a cannon by any means but he has great timing and excellent touch. If healthy, he is a damn good QB. His career rating is over 90.

no not really. moss jogging around the field is not better than anyone.

and have you watched pennington play the past 2 years? its hard to believe that you did. this year he didnt play besides 3 games, in which he lit us up in 1 of them. and last year he play great.

Did you see the deep balls he threw this year? They were all jump balls his WR's caught but were terrible passes, he throws great short and medium but deep and your asking for trouble

Id rather have Moss Jogging than a lot of guys running, and you know why? because if I throw it to him there is no doubt in my mind he will catch it
