This is the third game that I can recall that we jump all over somebody and let them back in, Chargers, Broncos, and now the Seahawks. First of all awesome pass by Penny to Ginn and awesome catch and concentration! Then Penny had a pick 6, and almost had another on that out pattern, luckily their DB just swatted it away. Anyways back to back weeks we go up by atleast 2 TDs and let them back in. The Kick off return last week and the pick 6 this week. I am getting so tired of coming out the gate like gang busters and then shutting it down for 2 Qtrs, and pulling it out at the end. These 3rd and 7 screen passes and draw plays are sickening. the Jets were up 30 something to nothing on the Rams by the half. We should have been atleast 21-24 to nothing by the half. Then you have our special teams that are just killing me!!!!!!! Yes I am glad we won, but we could have easily lost to a bad team at home today. We need to get a killer mentallity for 4 Qtrs, not 2!

We also need NEW kickers as well as help with our special teams
Our punter is terrible and very inconsistant Fields needs to be upgraded
Our kickoffs are not much better .We very rarely have a touchback

Special teams play...dreadful at best

I think this is a case of one lucky catch away from a loss

Totally agree!

Yes, Chad P let them back in with that pick 6 . . . I was thinking Bmore all over again . . . but don't be fooled . . . Seattle's defense came to play . . . and they were getting good pressure on our OLine. But SEattle has a good D . . . good win for us, I will take it anyway I can get it to be honest with you.

Yeah, I will take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day. I am just seeing trends that aren't pretty at all.

Ugly win, but sometimes you have them over the course of a season. Special teams are horrible. Time to really work on them this week.

Most of the time we were in place, just missed tackles. That one were the guy ran like 100 yards, man how many missed tackles. I think I pulled my pancreas standing up and yelling at the TV!

I disagree with you, we have learned to put teams away, at least to a degree. We've consistently had a 2nd half drive that has either put us in the lead, extended a lead and taken a tremendous amount of time off the clock. That demonstrates to me that this is a mentally tough team. Putting teams away early will come in time but I think Miami is playing smart football by playing withing the strengths of this team.

My point is it should never get to that point. If you go up 14 to nothing, you shouldn't be fighting for your life at the end of the game, especially if it's not because of what the other team is doing to you, but rather what you are doing to yourself!

It's hard to sustain a margin in this league. Particularly when you're not that great. A .500 team shouldn't be a 9 point favorite. That's a negative expectancy.

Don't worry about margin. Seattle figured to have plenty of fight this week, as a road team coming off a lopsided loss. It was the same scenario when we faced Baltimore. Luckily the Seahawks botched two pass plays, the drop in the end zone and the lousy pass by Wallace on Seattle's final drive.

I was walking a tightrope the entire second half, trying to get Miami to win but not cover the +9.5.

Now that the Dolphins have moved above .500 they might be able to smack someone as a favorite. Believe it or not that does seem to make a difference. I've charted it for 20+ years and teams with winning records at the point the game is played, even if it's not much above .500, are significantly more able to win comfortably than .500 or below teams.

we are just lucky the their rec had stone hands today! they gave us a win today 2 dropped td's and that 4th down at the end of the game plus we let a qb who could barely move pick us apart.

Like I said before, we did it to our selves, just like Denver last week. We have the momo and then do something stupid. The scores of both games should have been a lot different! Atleast we pulled them both out!
