I know no one wants to hear it, but it is really where the problems begin on Offense.

I think there's a ton of mid-round value in this draft. Haeg, Shell, Theus, Kirkland and Tretola. All guys that I like.

since 2008 every draft Miami has drafted atleast one OLineman. I don't expect this year to be any different.

This is where we need to look. Dallas Thomas is not bad, he is completely inept. You do not need a 1st round draft pick to replace completely inept at left guard.

I think we could have fixed LG with the last draft if our inept coaching staff hadn't countinuously played Douglas out of position and completely destroyed his confidence.

I have seen enough of Stanley to say,if he hits 8 he is ours.Only 1 maybe 2 other guys I would take above Stanley.Ramsey and maybe Hargreaves.

Does anyone know the severity of Smiths knee injury?

Nothing wrong with mid-round guys if there's quality options. Fix in FA tho, tons of solid options on the market this year unlike years pass. If we can sign 3 guys, 1 mid-level and 2 lower levels it would be huge. Brandon Brooks, Ben Jones and Ramon Foster. That allows Billy Turner to become out swing tackle. Then we have Jamil for youth and we can add another interior guy. Additionally we could draft a tackle and keep Turner at guard. Regardless if we have 3 young guys competing for jobs we'll be set.

I wouldn't mind seeing Douglas as the backup Center. He got better as the season went on. I would take a hard look at his former college teammate in Christian Westerman. That guy really popped off the tape when I was looking at Jamil Douglas last year. Of course it all depends on the new coach because if we changed from ZBS to a power scheme we only have two lineman that fit. Westerman is a ZBS player...plays LG for ASU.

I like addressing the OL through FA. I wasn't aware of the guys that were FAs this offseason, so thanks for the info.

Would be nice to fix in free agency if the money is there. The play of the guards hurt this team so much and it was huge in the 1-5 record versus AFC East opponents. Miami wasn't physical enough in the middle to compete against all the talented DT's in the division.

As far as the draft, I think there are some nice mid-rounders. Would love to see the Dolphins concentrate on defense early in the draft.

I think we should hope for Stanley. I think he is an Albert clone ,maybe we can start him at LG for 10 games until Albert goes down and then at LT the rest of the way forward.

I like Stanley a lot. Honestly, I would take Stanley and move Albert inside. If he says no then cut him outright. Would save us 5.5 million this year and 12 million next year. You should be able to sign a top notch guard with the savings.

We really DON'T need to load up on OL. I'm tired of this Philbin-esque philosophy of every year making OL a priority because we can never coach and.or develop the guys we have. We need a guard and a swing tackle but most of all a coach and a system that can make the OL an effective unit. No other good team has 3 first rounders plus 2 third round picks starting and yet is so bad year after year. When you devote so many high picks and free agent dollars to one unit other parts of the team suffer- as our entire defense has.

Enough of the obsession with the OL. Gase will get it fixed but we don't need Ronnie Stanley at #8 or a guard selected in round 2. We need impact DEFENDERS with our first 2 picks. I'd love to see the team go defense the entire draft as it is that needy and bad. ain't gonna happen as we need to probably find TE depth and maybe another running back/QB along the way.

I think our defense is far more urgent a makeover as years of not hitting in the draft or neglecting S, CB and esp LB with third rounders used on the two slugs we have starting at guard. Get a free agent guard and find yourself a swing tackle you can develop later in the draft

How do you justify taking Stanley at #8 and playing him at guard?
