I'm done with Sturgis and would love to move on. I'd love to draft Aguayo from Florida St. to replace Sturgis. I know he missed a a 54 yarder but he's still got an amazing leg and rarely misses.

I believe Sturgis looked better when we drafted him. Can't use draft picks for kickers over and over again.

Vet kicker... Bring in old ass Jay Feeley

I had high hopes for Sturgis. I was at his 1st game as pro. He nailed his opening kick in some stiff winds off Lake Erie. He went 3 for 3 and helped us beat the Browns that day. Pretty much money from 40 and in. But only 70% from 40-50 and short kickoffs have cost us.

bring UFAs into camp for competition / sign Vet

Don't use draft picks

I've been done with this guy since his out of bounds kickoff giving them the ball at the 40 against Balt last year after we had just tied the game.
No confidence at all when ever he takes the field but don't waste another draft pick. Always free agents available.

We still holding on to Hopkins? That's some serious competition for Sturgis if we're going to have them fight it out next TC. If neither of them work out then we have to go with a vet.

I believe once we cut him there is a 50/50 chance that he doesn't crack anyone else's roster for a starting job.

i vote for Craddock from Maryland, Groza award winner, ice cold winner

I'd rather we didn't use draft picks on kickers when we have very little depth and more holes than we can fill for next season.

6th or 7th round pick for an elite kicker on a cheap contract = well worth it. That's a lot more value for your football team than a backup linebacker who covers kickoffs and gets cut next off-season for another backup linebacker who covers kickoffs.

I agree that it is time for Sturgis to go. I have zero confidence in him making anything from over 40 yds out. I also agree with the majority of respondents in this thread: there is no need to draft a kicker when an upgrade can be signed at a much cheaper cost for us.
