We need to see more Cam Wake

It is apparent that Cam has better quickness off the edge than Joey or Jason. His ability to get low, produce leverage and power to the QB is what we need to take pressure off the DBs. If he does not get to the QB, at least he can make him very uncomfortable in the pocket and force him to move which can direct him into Joey's or Jason's path, whoever is lining up opposite of him.

I would like to see more of him. I do not see any reason that we should not mix him in on a limited basis to our pass rush. It would give the opposing defence something else to factor for. He has much quicker moves than Porter or Taylor esp since neither of those guys are 100% at the moment.

I guess people seeing Wake in space didn't register a reality. When a Punter jukes and breaks you down, esp. a DE/OLB....he needs work.
He had a few plays he could of made, he had a few plays he didn't make. He needs to be used in only 3rd and longs, seeing the JETs run right at him and chip him is the answer to his game. He needs ALOT of work still to be saying that you sit premier pass rushers for a project in KEY situations.

Last year Joey had some terrific games where he was dominant. However, he also had some quiet games as well. He is a natural team leader but if he and/or Jason Taylor is having a quiet game, my inclination would be to play Cam Wake and Quentin Moses in more of the plays.
Both Joey and JT are great veterans but they shouldn't take it as a slight if one of the younger guys gets a bit more playing time. Mix it up..

He showed me enought letting the punter juke the crap out of him. That was pathetic and Porter missing Brad Smith on the next one was just as bad.
Wake should not be in the game unless its 2nd or 3rd and more than 10.

I saw Tom Brady juke out Brian Urlacher one year. It happens.

Cam Wake isnt your open field specialist either. His job is to rush the QB and from what I have seen he can get really good at doing that job. It is his first year in the NFL and he has already passed the expectations of many.
