Looking at our starting roster for the 09-10 season, lets see how many holes we need to fill via FA and the draft

QB- Pennington = SET
RB- R&R, with a little bit of Cobbs = SET
FB-Polite = SET
WR- Ginn, Camarillo (assuming hes healthy), Bess, London = TJ Whos your mama or draft help here..
TE- Fasano, Martin = SET
LT- Jake Long = SET
LG- Smiley = We need depth, especially since Smiley is hurt a lot
C- Satele- too weak, need an upgrade ... J Brown or A Mack
RG- Thomas = need depth. Duke Robinson would be nice
RT-???? Draft Top priority

DE- Merling/Langford/Starks/Holliday (pay cut) = Set
DT- Ferguson/Soliai - We need depth
OLB-Porter/Roth/Wake - We need depth
ILB- Ayodele/Torbor- We need a playmaker- Top Priority
CB-Allen- We need to resign Goodman and serious help here
SS- Please resign Bell- No other options serious help
FS- Serious help

So in the top priority list, we have...
-Center
-RT
-ILB
-CB
-Both safety positions (yikes!!!)
-and you could throw in WR to the mix as we have solid, yet unspectacular players (Ginn showed flashes last year)
 
Many teams have a lot of money, it wouldn't even bother me if we didn't sign anyone significant. There are going to be a lot of over priced/paid FA's out there this year. I'd much rather build through the draft and spend the left overs in a year with more talent and less eager bidders.
 
Wow im a little worried right now. i dont see why we wouldnt sign carey and bell back. at the least. i say we bring back crowder 2 and let him and wake fight it out. if wake is a beast, then trade crowder and wala... another draft pick...
 
I am hoping we sign Jared Page for our FS spot and if y. bell leaves we could sign Sean Jones as our SS
 
J.Brown C - if we can't get him A.Mack becomes our #1 pick.
S.Jones or J.Leonard SS - if Bell cannot be signed.
J.Phillips FS
L.Bodden or B.McFadden or D.Robinson CB
R.Willis or K.Barnes RT - I would even sign T.Thomas to a 1 year deal.
M.Wright NT/DE
M.Floyd WR - if his tender was low.
 
um.... we have another week to sign out free agents.... do people not understand? its not the end of the world. None of our free agents should have been franchised.
 
I believe the Dolphins will still end up signing Yeremiah Bell and Vernon Carey even though people are now thinking that they will not be in a Dolphins uniform next year. I hope that the Dolphins draft atleast two of these players: Clint Sintim, Sean Smith, or Ramses Barden. Try to sign Jemaine Phillips or Jim Leonhard to replace Renaldo Hill sign Bart Scott to replace Channing Crowder, and sign Chris Canty and move Vonnie Holliday back to DT (he was good at playing DT) and Chris Canty will be the DE.
 
ummmm,when did we add to our cap space and how'd we do it? what'd i miss?
 
Well hopefully we can get Bell and Carey back,sign Brown,Scott and McFad im not big on going after Albert I dont know how he would be in the 3-4 as a NT and after the contract Ashumugha got no thanks.
 
On offense I think our draft needs should be looking at either Alex Mack at Center or Hakeem Nicks at WR, and on defense a solid D-Back like Smith of Utah, or Victor Harris of Va Tech. Draft smart and fill in the rest through free agency.

Where did you come up with Wake playing a ILB position ?

Did I miss something ? :confused:
