So in addition to crappy receivers our biggest problem is the inability to stop the other team from scoring. Think about this. The other team actually benefits from our ball hog control. We do all the work and shorten the game for them so all they have to do is score on their last possession and bam! They win again. You gotta prevent the other team from getting more points then you. Thats the game. Scoreboard.

The same thing happened against the Colts....we controlled the whole game and then as soon as our defense comes on the field they give up long touchdowns.

That has been the story of our season...even more frustrating when defense is killing them in the first half and then comes out and plays dead in the second.

oh and not to mention it suck all the emotional wind out of our sails after we put together a masterful drive then just watch them throw a pass or two then we are behind again.

It really does suck to see us have the looong drives ending with a score, only to see them do the same amount of yardage in maybe 3 plays. Its like our whole defense gives up!

And seriously, I think that happens every single time to us. I'm not exaggerating.

Well get some linebackers that can cover and get us a true FS and the problems will start to disappear. If they keep mouth and taylor on the team next year, we are going to have the same problems. Our corner position is going to be solid for years to come. I cannot comment on Clemons because we haven't seen anything from that guy yet.

Come on.. it was Randy Moss. Blame our D coordinator for leaving him single covered against a rookie.

I think Atlanta and Buffalo are the only teams that didn't do that to us. Well I take that back didnt Buffalo have like a 2 or 3 play TD drive after the long pass to Evans?

People around here just need some perspective. Two years the Dolphins were 1-15, two years ago the Patriots were one David Tyree catch from having a perfect season. We split with them last year, and hung with them today.

No, you dont rebuild forever, but last year was a fluke getting to beat up on the NFC West which was awful, and the AFC West whose best team was 8-8. It takes time, and drafts, to build a super bowl contender. I see people bash Parcells on here and just sit dumbfounded wondering how people can be so dense after the success his regime has already had, and is building for, especially when you consider the Dolphins past history.....

People need to be happy its turning around and understand this team is improving, and aren't sitting year after year after year with no hope like fans are with the Browns, Raiders, Rams, and so forth. This team is already better than last years team, its just playing a much more difficult schedule and breaking in some youngsters. With a few more defensive acquisitions and a legit WR or two, this team will be back in the playoffs.

Our safeties and linebackers can NEVER cover the opposing teams Tight End. Combine that with the fact that we have an anemic pass rush and rookies starting at both cornerback spots and it's a recipe for disaster. Also, where the hell has Kendall Langford been? He hardly does a thing at Defensive End and gets knocked off the ball too often.

We can only be elite if we can be the team that scores in 1 minute when need be. Scoring on 17 play 10 minute drives are nice but not when thats the only way you can score.

It's been painful watching our defense after our offense scores this year. EVERY SINGLE TIME we score the opposing offense gets huge chunks of yardage and scores right away. Last week it we scored and then Cotchery had a 50 yard reception. Then after our next score Thomas Jones gets 40 yards on a screen. this week we score and Randy Moss rips off a 70 yard TD. COME ON!!! It's like they hate having momentum because they're consistently killing it.

Exactly.

I have no idea what is going on in the defense's mind after we score. I have to put it on Pasqualoni though. When it happens so much like this, I just have to assume it's some dumb**** stuff he's pulling.

Is it just me or does our whole coaching staff seems to have an incredibly low IQ? Tony with questionable calls when the game is on the line, Henning with.. whole games, Pasqualoni having a 5 year old draw up his schemes

Still, I do have faith in TS. Just not these guys we call coordinators. How in the world did they make it to the pro level calling plays like this?
