If we could have just found a way to win today against the lowly Bills we'd have been 6-5 and in control of one of two WildCard spots if the scores from todays late games hold up:

- Jacksonville is down 20-3 with 4 minutes left in San Francisco, they'll be 6-5.
- The Titans are down 17-13 with 6 minutes left against the Cardinals. They have the ball at their own 2 yard line so they'll need an Elway-esque performance from Vince Young to win that game. They'll be 4-7, pretty much eliminated.
- The Texans blew a 17-0 lead to the Colts and lost, dropping them to 5-6.
- The Steelers and Ravens play tonight, and if the Steelers lose (which they probably will without Roethlisberger) both they and the Ravens will be 6-5. Meaning we'd have been tied with Jax, Bal, Pit for the 6th seed in the AFC.

I wish the damn Giants had won because it would have cushioned the blow from today's loss. We'd be at 5 wins chasing TWO 6 win Wildcard slots rather than just one. We can pretty much say goodbye to Denver's spot now that they beat the Giants so it all comes down to that 6th seed which we're a game out of.....a game we'd have had if we beat the god damn Bills.

Yeah the AFC as a whole sucks this year. The AFC East is pretty much going to be won by an average team, that most likely won't make it past the first round of the playoffs.

Looks like it's going to be a Colts vs Vikings Superbowl, if I had to predict it right now.

With the Vikings winning that game by double digits then we'll have to hear more about Favre all during the off-season.

i hate to say this, but it doesnt matter, we are not ready to compete with the Big boys just yet.

Getting to the playoffs is an accomplishment on it's own and a step in the right direction, especially with the difficult schedule. We could have made a statement, instead we made a statement we didn't want to make. That we're the same old Dolphins.

Chance to do what? This team looked five years away today.
It was the BILLS!!!???!!!

Well the Cardinals were 8-8 and went to a Super Bowl. The Giants won a Super Bowl as a Wildcard team winning 11 straight road games. The Steelers a few years before, same thing. It's cliche' but anything can happen in the playoffs, you can't not want to get there just because you don't think you have a chance.

Who cares, this team is crap anyway. I'd rather not suffer anymore and think about playoffs.

Defense wins championships, not air.

The Cardinals defense really stepped up in the playoffs. The Colts defense stepped up in the playoffs during their Super Bowl run. I'm not saying i'd like our odds if we got in the playoffs, but i'd rather we make the playoffs so we can see. We really squandered a great chance to do so today.

Well Vince Young caps a 99 yard TD drive to win the game and put the Titans at 5-6. 387 yards passing for Vince Young, and a TD pass on the final play, incredible. They're still on life support, but they still play some of the teams involved in this playoff race including us.

I was drinking the Kool Aid and thinking this team just had to get it together, jell, and start a run. Then the injury bug hit and we are scrambling to get guys on the same page. Sad truth, we could not, even with ten days to prepare, field a team that could beat the Buffalo Bills today. That’s where we are at. We are not deep enough in talent to withstand losing a few guys and hang with the Bills. We are worse than they are and our season is done now. We are playing for next year, draft position, tweak the coaching staff, practice time/game management, etc. Reality has struck, and it is so different from what we were on the verge of ten days ago. Devastating game today, it really hurts. But always a Fin fan til the day I die. In Parcells I trust, I hope we get there in a couple of years.
