We sent a 5th round pick to the Chiefs for Tyler Thigpen

Eh. I think the FO will find a way to get a 5th back at some point, they hate giving up their picks.
 
hey, if we added a 3rd to tht, moses, and girbril we couldve got a WR with huge potential... ;]
 
that sucks. a 5th for a third string qb. i know if henne went down he would probly play but we need picks
 
What picks did we receive for those backup OL we sent to KC?
 
The Chiefs' return for sending Tyler Thigpen to the Dolphins last month is reported to be a fifth-round draft pick.
The Chiefs had been holding out for a fourth-rounder, but no team was going to give up more than a fifth for a quarterback who has yet to show that he can play in a standard offense.

It is fair compensation. He is a solid backup QB, and you know down the road they will bring him in for some wildcat plays. I feel comfortable with Thigpen as the starter if something were to happen to Henne.
 
A 5th for a QB who started, what 11-12 games last year and was fairly successful given the circumstances. Not bad, I wouldn't have given them anything more though.

yeah I mean heck, you're not going to find that good of a backup for what we gave up for him. Smart move
