We should all pitch in money for a "Sign Mathis" airplane sign.

At this point, I would consider it.

I know it's early and we can't judge too much since it is a bunch of newbies vs a potential pro bowl D-line.....But I view this year as going down with guns blazing.

Sign Mathis for two years 12 million, with 7 million guaranteed in the first year. Get it done Hickey.
 
If I'm pitching in for a sign regarding the Fins it would be a "Fire Omar" sign. After this offseason the FO has earned a little trust regarding personnel.
 
I think the team wants Jamil Douglas to win the LG job. If he keeps putting up solid practices and solidifies himself as the unquestioned starter we won't sign Mathis. If he begins to struggle we will probably look to sign him.
 
I may be drinking the Kool-aid but I'm warming up to the idea of Jamil Douglas at LG.
 
im with you ruckus, the f.o. seems to have a grasp on things this time around. and our biggest cancer, to me, are omar and armando. pretty much anyone who trashes the team they are paid to report on are huge failures in my opinion. getting all their clicks from garbage-time stats. once our team is a contender again they will disappear
 
I wouldn't waste a dime for a banner. Hell not many wanted to retain philbin yet he is still coach, much like he rehired Ireland and Sparano.
 
I like the intent, but you mine as well just throw your money away.

For one, I really dont think they care what we think about the guard situation. Secondly, all you do is give Mathis' agent another bargaining chip if we ever do start negotiating.

But ya, Im with ya on the concern. I am 100% against the idea of Thomas ever starting again. That means were supposed to rely on 2 totally unproven players to solidify the interior of our line, something that has been our greatest weakeness for a couple years.

I have a better idea: save the money for the pointless banner idea, buy some tickets and support the team you claim to like. :up:

How about no? Guys 34 let's see a couple preseason games before we get too hasty.

When the Dolphins put a winning product on the field, I will reup my season tickets. I still go to games, but only divisional ones or games like against Dallas this year.
 
Enough with these airplane signs. They just make the whole fan base and organization look bad.
