We arent stacked at LB.Other than Hodge and LaVar we didnt bring in anyone else if im not mistaken. There still are some good ones and we could sign them on the cheap.I would like an agressive group of LBs like the stealers have.

Like who?

Mind you, the position we have open is Strongside OLB, which requires a bigger guy playing in the trenches.

They could also be looking toward the draft. IMO Lavar will be a dolphin at some point. He is running out of options

we have plenty of LBs and LB wasn't out weakness last year. the secondary was and we deffinetly added 2 or 3 starters there. Crowder can play both MLB and OLB so we can use him in both 3-4 and 4-3 formations. and there's a good chance we might take one in the 1-st round (likely greenwood)

watch the saban interview from monday. though he would like to add a player like lavar, he does feel like we can get the job done with the guys we have. we'd like to get a guy like lavar, but we aren't desperate and aren't going to overpay or do anything to the cap that could have negative long term ramifications.

Its Greenway, I think you're talking about, and he may not make it to us...but there are a couple of others...Sims, Carpenter, Ryan

I think much like Brees, Nick has given LA our best offer and now it's in his hands. If he chooses someone else, then I think Nick will address it in the draft and maybe pick up a F/A for insurance (at league min) afterwards. LA would be a key pick up, but like usual, Nick won't break the bank to get him (especially when there are quality OLB's in the draft). We'll see how all this plays out in a few weeks.

Morlon?

With Lavar and pick another OLB with the 3rd.or 5th.round is enough. If we can't sign Lavar, Chad Greenway is the best option.

If we get Arrington, then we are fine at LB's. I don't see how you are getting that we need more LB's. We have Thomas, Spragan, Crowder, Moore, Pope and Hodge. Our backups are fine the way it is and we just need to get ourselves a LB like Arrington, Greenway or Lawson and then we are set at that position.
