We should try Fields on kickoffs...

Seriously, i like carpenter and all...but he has absolutely no leg. Id be surprised if he had more then 3 touchbacks this entire season.



we really need to improve our special teams, and a big part is the kicker.
 
Someone's gotta do something with the ST as a whole. The only thing that makes since is Ted Ginn. Coverage is still crap. Kickoffs are a joke. 22 yards? WTF? I dk what they'll do, but I'd imagine Sparano is too set on his strong roster to worry about how far his kickoffs go... I wonder if they've given Fields a try in practice?
 
All i know is that punting wise...fields has a pretty strong leg, he should definatly be able to be more effective on kickoffs.

All these kicks being recieved @ the 10 yard line is not helping our cause
 
I'm sure they've tried him in practice. If he was any better, he would be kicking off.
 
Why don't we try to have Fields punt the ball on our kickoffs???? Just like on a Safety. At least the ball would be in the air a long while and maybe someone fielding it on the 20 would fumble it?....I would try this. Honest!!!!! Our Special Teams at least seem to handle punts a little better than kickoffs.

We just seem to get those line drive kicks from Carpenter that land around the 10 or 5 and get run back to the 40.
 
When I auto reorder my depth chart in Madden, Fields is the kickoff man.

Just like how the entire miami dolphin community thought that Ginn should be returning punts/kicks and not bess???


its possible that our coach is just hard headed
