We should take a look at Wesley Beschorner!!!!!!!! Just look at his production. It is not like he is Leinart, playing with 10 other NFL type of players. He put up some unreal numbers w/ less talent around him and playing equally talented teams as his own. It is not like USC playing West Lafeyette Techinical University -Auto Body Specialist(JK)

This kid did it all!!!!!!

Wesley Beschorner, South Dakota Quarterback

Harlon Hill Trophy Candidate

Eighth-ranked South Dakota Football Team (9-2)

Selected National Player of the Week Four Times
Directed offense that led the nation with 583.3 yards in total offense per game and scored 49.7 ppg (second in nation)
Owns 9.75:1 TD to Interception Ratio

College production is overrated.

Do you happen to know who was the other QB to record a rating higher than 215?

On a side note, I cant say waiting for a particular played in the draft is EVER a good idea. Who knows when we draft, who will grab him first, etc. The only was it makes sense is if we are planning a 0-16 season.

Here it is!!!!!

Harlon Hill Trophy Finalist(DivII Heisman)

Nations leader in Pass Efficiency(215.2)

One of 2 QB's in DII history to record a 215 rating or better
Finished the regular season w/ Nations best39 Passing TD's(47 total)
National player of the week 4 times
Directed the offense that led the nation w/583.3yds total off per game
Led his team to be 2nd ranked in scoring at 49.7ppg
Has a 9.75:1 TD to int ratio
6 games w/ 4 or more TD passes and 3 w/5 or more in 05'
Ran for a 79 yd TD and threw for a 90 yd TD
Set D II record of 10.22 yds per play in 05'(not per completion but per play, unreal!!!!)

I know it is a reach, but the point is there are alot more 3-6 round stud qb's than are 1st round guys. The reason is largely due to guys like Wesley that fly under the radar b/c they play at a small school. I am not saying that he will parlay this to the NFL, but I do really hope we scout this guy and take a real hard look at him.

3rd to 6th round? this guy won't get drafted at all

He could become a player like Welker....he has very good speed and runs well. Someone may bring him in for a look as a free agent.
Yea, possible slot guy, kr special teams

he'll be one of the first players cut on whatever team he gets to

I suppose being from Tampa you have seen him play ball? Just a question. Heins Ward was thought to be over rated and not a chance to make it in the NFL. He once was a qb also! Randel el! Patrick Pass! He seems to be quite an athlete to me. He is to small it seems to be a qb.

The point was more so trying to say, we should not get to excited to draft a guy that has not ever been worked out by a NFL team. It is like buying a house over the internet w/o ever seeing it. Lienart, Young, or any other guy may not be able to make some of the throws that need to be made in the pros. Most of their games are against bad opponets. Only a combine and a few workouts will truly tell.

maybe he'll get converted to a wr or a safety...but at 5'10, its very unlikely that he'll make a good nfl qb...just too short.
