We shouldn't care about ricky williams.

You guys have to admit Ricky is one of the most interesting personalities in the NFL.
I just read an article about him in the Toronto Star, did you know he was molested as a child by his father, his twin sister too.
Also he was very violent as a child, was almost failing junior high when he was moved to a gifted child program where he did very well.
Ricky is a rare guy in a sport where most players can't think beyond their last hit.
I'm glad Ricky is a Fin and I can only wish him the best.

I didn't know that, it's the very first time I hear anything about it. Strange, you'd think the press (who are completely and totally lacking in imagination) would have brought that up by now.

I Agree 100%, Ricky is a great player and an interesting human being. It's unusual that a pro athlete is that well spoken. I hope everything goes well for him & he returns next year to get a ring with the Dolphins...

I for one am sick and tired of hearing about Ricky Williams. He's a good running back and all but IMO he is just too stupid to fix up his life. Last year saban gave him a second chance and what does he do, he get's busted again for an illegal substance. And for all of you conspiracy theorists who think that he is being framed or that he is innocent, JUST Stop.

If ricky didn't play for the dolphins i would hate him even more for deserting his teammates 2 years back, but that's in the past and as long as he comes back next year and plays well i alright with it.
Ricky was the face of the franchise for a few seasons, so the fans are not going to stop liking him.......

Don't tell me what I should or shouldn't care about.
I like Ricky Williams, I always have and I always will. If they play Argo's games on TV, I'll watch them and cheer for him, if not then I'll just wait until 2007 to cheer him on in a Dolphins jersey again.

TC I didn't know either after all the talk about RW you think someone would look into what makes this guy what he is.
I like him in spite of what has happened in the last few years.
You may be able to read the article by searching the Toronto Star.
I hope he does well up here and comes back with the Fins in 2007.

Is it a coincidence that everyone, from Dolphins coaches to The ARgos now are saying that Ricky Williams is the most thoghtful, kind person theyve met. As a person, I root for ricky. The guy has bumps on the road he has surely made some DUMB mistakes (the latest one being: You dont take an exotic supplememnt that the nfl isnt very familiar with when youve failed three tetss already) but the thing about ricky is that he is walwasy progressing, always learning, and always hard working. Let him go to Canada, get his money, another learning experience. What we will get in return is a smarter back, a great back up to Ronnie (Ricky is a BEAST), and a role model to all the tounger guys. As a player, I want him to succeed in Canada not because I like the Argos...but because I like Ricky Williams the person..apart from football.

Dude become another team's fan,I thank Ricky for retiring when he did cause it open the doors for coach Saban. If Ricky wouldn't have retired Wanny would still be here or he would have finished his contract and we would have never gotten Saban.....

Thats a very interesting thought..and I think there's a lot behind the theory.

Nope not really, got better things to do with my time than be mad over a guy who is not even going to play for us this season. Maybe next season when he gets caught doind PCP, and Angeldust, while having sex with a minor and on crack, I will get mad.
Peace out.
There you guys go again with changing the thread. If you want to talk about Marcus Vick, please start another thread and quit beating on the MVP of the 2007 football season.I say we follow up a superbowl at home this year with a PERFECT season in 2007. Any Takers???

I am a fan of the CFL and NFL. But the Argos are my team. I would like you all to know he is in the best of hands. Coach Michael (pinball) Clemons, helps out troubled players all the time. I think his biggest enemy he had was all the expectations. Although I feel he exceeded at them, the stress brought him to that low of the drugs, and the retiring stint. I think one year of our game will benefit your team in a huge way. He will keep his shape and form, have a clear head and have a career season in 2007.

i don;t underestand you people when ricky is doing good everybody loves him but as soon as something happens the same people hate him thats lame
