He has been pretty dominant on the Titans. Granted he is playing next to the best DT in the NFL, but still he is doing a good job and he would have been a good 3-4 DE for us had we been patient.

:sidelol:

Yeah, he was such a great dominant player... Even today with his 1 gimme sack. Dumbte could have easily thrown that ball away and should have. If Dumbte didnt give that sack to Vickerson he wouldnt be on the stat sheet yet.

Its funny that everytime an ex-fin has even one decent game, threads start popping up about how we should have never let them go, albeit they ddint absolutely nothing while they were here

I couldn't care less about Vickerson. Our dline is so deep as it is that Rod Wright has been inactive all year. I view Wright as a better option than Vickerson. Would even prefer Fred Evans back instead. He's a guy I thought had a future.

Vickerson has played well in more than just this game. Honestly, the fact that he is playing a pretty big role in a top defense is a tribute to him. He is like quite a few Dolphins over the last few years that seemed to have some talent but we just lost patience with them after an injury or something and let them go.

It's funny, if you hang around this site long enough you read so many ways of looking at players.
Some posters declare players busts after 1-2 seasons (Carey, Jason Allen, Ronnie Brown), yet the NFL is full of players that peaked after their 4th-5th yrs.
I was watching the last Giants game and I noticed Grey Reugamer was starting at OG for them. He showed some potential when we drafted him, but didn't hang around long enough to be developed. Wasn't he the one who castrated sheep with his teeth?:)

I've always liked him. He looked like an absolute monster. Also since he was such a low pick, and he had a decent preseason with miami. Although he did suffer an acl tear in training camp and we want to wait around for him.

vickerson is no NT... he could've been a DE for us but i'm pretty satisfied about our situation at that position right now, ya know

Oh yeah, our D-line is so deep that when Ferguson is out we make the other running back look like Jim Brown.

Thats at NT which Vickerson would not play. He'd be at DE unless we went with four down linemen. Merling, Starks, Soliai, Ferguson, and Holliday could all play DT in those sets, if needed. So tell me who you'd like to cut/keep inactive for Vickerson. Merling? Langford? Starks? Holliday? Would you prefer him to be our extra inactive guy instead of Wright?
I dont think we have some great dline. I just like the current rotation and don't see Vickerson as an upgrade over anybody. I thought I made that point clear in my first post but I guess you couldnt resist the sarcasm.

I have to admit that I have been surprised to hear Vickerson's name this year at any time however that has nothing to do with this regime so I we should focus on the players that we have.

I would take Vickerson over Rod Wright in a heartbeat. Rod Wright is listed at 305 but the guy plays DE in the 3-4 like he's 265 pounds. He gets pushed around by everyone in every game.
