Now before everyone starts going Jim Mora on me, I didn't say we are a playoff team or would do anything if we got there. However, we do have a shot at the last WC spot. Right now you have NE, CN, SD, and Indy winning their divisions. One of the WC spots is probably going to Denver leaving 1 WC spot up for grabs.

In the running are Balt, Pitt, and Jack at 6-5. Then us, Tenn, and Houston at 5-6 (Jets too, but we own the tie breaker on them). We play Jack, Tenn, Hou, and Pitt if we win those giving us the tie breaker if we are both 9-6. Pitt and Balt play each other, so there is atleast one loss for one of those two. Jacksonville has the hardest road with games at Hou (atleast one loss with one of those teams), us, Indy, and NE. Baltimore probably has the best shot, we really need them to lose to GB next week! Pitt has a similar schedule, with GB, Balt and us left as tough teams. Tenn is playing well, but has the Colts, Chargers, and us still left. Houston has Jacksonville, us and the Pats.

Needless to say, all of the 6-5 5-6 teams have major obstacles. We are actualy in a pretty good position IF (big if) we win out, possibly making that last game against the Steelers very meaningful.

So yes, we still have a chance...actually just as good as any of the other teams mentioned. We were in this boat last year and everything seemed done, but we pulled it out. Let's see what happens.

Seriously, cut it out. This team has NO RIGHT to even consider playoffs after their performance yesterday. They were BLOWN OUT by a 3-7 team and gave up 24 (24!) points in the 4th quarter! As such, this group of BUMS needs a lot more garbage disposal work well before we hear the "playoff" crap again...

Not with the playcallers we have calling the shots. we don't stand a chance "even" if we pull out a victory against the Pats, we are going to get upset by one of those remaining teams on the schedule...yesterday and the week before that against the Bucs proves that.

Nice optimism... However I dont even think we will finish .500. IMO we finish 6-10 losing to NE, Tennessee, Houston, and Pitt. Beating Jags.

teams that lose to lowly buffalo as dinged up as they were do not deserve the playoffs...

new england this week houston in a few more at a revived tennessee team and home against a pittsburgh team who may still be playing for their playoff lives...

7-9

yesterdays loss was a killer

This team is better then the 08 Dolphins but the biggest difference is not being able to close out games.

Playoffs isn't even a possibility. The season is over.

Nice post 67....I like the optimism and positive thinking! We need more of that around here. I would not be suprised if we won the next five or would I be suprised if we lost all five. This is a hard team to predict. I think Tony and the boys will get this crap staightened out starting against the Pats. Let's go Phins...give us hope!!!!!!:hi5:

Mathematically the 'Phins have a chance indeed. Will they? Probably not. If they do will they go far? Probably not. We can still dream though :hump:

What is the point even if we make the playoffs? It's not like we would beat any of the teams that will be there for the big tournament. We are obviously not good enough yet, so why bother with the hopeless optimism?

Of course we can still make it if we win our games but I don't see this team being good enough to do that.

"PLAYOFFS" !..."PLAYOFFS" ! The best team we have beaten is the jets. this team is done! we have poor linebackers poor safety's a 36 year old line backer next year porter is old too. chowder and akin are slow as hell. our starting running back is 33 next year the other is injured free agent who can only get yards out of the wildcat ! all our recievers are 3rd recievers there isn't even a solid #2 in this bunch this team is still missing many pieces.!

The offensive line is better this year but other than that this team is not better anywhere else.

I have a better chance of screwing Megan Fox than the Dolphins have of beating the Pats, Texans, Titans, Jags, and Steelers.

I'll be happy if we upset ONE of those teams. Probably the Jags if we do.

Yea. We have to win out. It really dosent matter what those other teams do at this point. We play 3 of them. If we win out, were in. If we lose a game, were done.

So are chances of making the playoffs are = our chances of winning out.

Which basically with Tony Sparano at the controls those chances are ZERO.

^ dude, what is your beef with Sporano? Did he bang your sister?

He made a few bad calls, big ****ing deal. Even Bellichick makes a bad call once in a while. You DO realize that we have little talent on offense and defense, don't you? You expect Sporano to make a Lamborghini out of Toyota parts.
