I don't post on here much, but I love to read the good and bad threads lol.
Anyways, here's a link to how much CAP SPACE EACH TEAM HAS AS OF THRUSDAY NIGHT.
If we give jake a new contract, and do something with bell. We would be sitting pretty, Eric Winston pleasssssse! Aand he canceled his trip to the rams for some odd reason.

Im really hoping we get Winston also. I don't wanna see us taking a RT with the 8th pick in the draft.

If you think about, the FO knows that's they can't draft an o-lineman with that pick. They know that us fans are getting real impatient. But it's now obvious that we're gonna build thru the draft. But signing Winston would be tbe the same as having 2 first round picks. We'll see!!

ill take decastro with winston and you have a winner draft. WR will come later.

I thought we only had 4-5 million in cap space as of yesterday. According to that, we have 14.3 million in cap room. Is that a mis-type,or am i missing something here?

i never believe what i read in what i see regarding the cap. moves are made that no one knows about or do not know how it enters equation. I believe i read that soliai's deal will only count 4 mil this year on cap. I also believe we had much more money than 14 mil to start. i also dont believe anything omar kelly says.

about 5 mil will be needed for rookies, but if we trade down, that amount neccessary may go down bigtime. Just wondering when Y Bell resutructures or gets cut altogether.

If the front office makes determinations on who to draft based on possible fan reaction, they should be fired. If they don't draft an offensive lineman at 8, it should be because there isn't one worth drafting there.

If we really do have 14.3 mil in cap room, then that explains why Jeff hasn't restructured any contracts yet.

That would definitely make sense. Was wondering why we have been so quiet in terms of cuts and restructuring

Do we have enough for Flynn, Winston, and Manningham if we restructure Long and Bell (I don't think they wanna cut him because of his leadership)? I'm thinkin about 20 mil after restructures/cuts. 5 mil for the rookies. Leaving us 15 mil to play with. 6 mil a piece to Flynn and Winston in their first cap year (this is not total guaranteed, just base plus signing bonus and spread the bonus over the life of the contract) and 3 mil for Manningham. That sounds great!!!!

Now would you reallllly want to spend a top pick on a o-linemen. We all know that the jets tried that ish and now you risk most of our team cap space on long, pouncey, and whoever the third one might be via the #8 pick. You cant don't something like that point blank period!! Why???? Because it TAKES AWAY FROM OTHER AREAS! We
Need talent in other key places, not saying that RT not important but, as the experts say, "this is a deep class of o-lineman!!! If the was to dare pick a o-lineman with that pick, do you know what that says?!?
That's they don't know how to draft SKILLED poistion players with a top pick. Everyone know that's a safe pick!!!

Now in my intelligent opinion, I would trade down no lower than 19. Draft nick perry who is a 6 3, 270lb "outside lb" yes he played in a 3-4 and 4-3 at USC. Now since we would pick up an extra 2nd, you put a package
Together and make sure you move up to the first pick In The second and draft Steve hill or a wideout that they
Love, than TE, and with the 2 third rounders get a qb to mold and than a o-lineman!
Anyone disagree. I believe that teams are gonna wanna reach and trade up.
(dontario Poe, brockers). The only way we don't trade Down is if blackom or Claiborne drops to 8 which is very
Possible, it happens every year!
