I think this team will be much improved but I doubt it will be enough to climb out of the cellar. We have toughest schedule for one. I think too many people are expecting that Hudson Hauck can turn our bumbs into great o lineman (fairytale # 1) Secondly, we have major issues in the secondary. Once again many people think we wont feel the absense of Surtain (fairytale # 2). I think most of you forget we were 31st against the run last year. Some people think Carter and our cast of has beens, never weres, and a rookie will make us a force upfront (fairytale # 3). This is not to mention our problems are qb, and our issues with McMicheal. I think it is irresponsible to be expecting a winning season. These problems will not magically go away. I think saban will be a great coach but these aren't his players and he cant make them more talented than they are.

What team are you a fan of? It sure isnt MIAMI.
We are a hundred times better than last year and if you think we will be in last place this year you need to jump on the New England Bandwagon

You could have just posted this in one of the other thousand threads which discuss our predicted finish in the division. (fairytale #4)

That's one way to look at things, but I choose to look at the glass being half full and not half empty.

I look at this team not as it was in 2004, but as the 10 win team of 2003. Overall we are as good or better than the 2003 team, subtract points for DB's and for new coaching, and I think we'll have a 9-7 season. Not bottom of the barrel, but not top of the division either.

we wil finish 2nd, if patriots are bad because they losed key players we will maybe be first, but my guess is 2nd.

WTF does responsibility have to do with it? Are you a fan of the team? Because it sure doesnt seem like it. Its one thing to be realistic, but you've pretty much crossed the line of being a pessimist.

SXerrat you are such a Homer, and Kenny your team is nothing like the team you fielded in 03, you have no secondary for one, your best LB is getting older and slower, you have a completely different Oline, Dline and QB's. The only things that are the same is Chris Chambers, Randy McMichael and Zach Thomas otherwise its a whoel new football team. If I am wrong please list for me how it is the same team that went 10-6 but couldnt make the playoffs. HOMERS

At least Captain Lou is realistic.

I bet you have an ulcer, will probably die at an early age due to stress related heart trouble, and people talk behind your back saying how unpleasant you are to be around.

This is how the NFL works. The media and rival fans will always give question marks no chance to succeed, while loyal fans will always see them succeeding.

My biggest point is through all the adveristy last season we really only had our ***** handed to us once (Jets Monday Night). We were in just about every other game. Were we really that bad??????? Or is there just a fine line between the good teams in the NFL and the bad ones. I actually believe there is a finer line between the good teams and bad ones then there is between the good teams and the Great teams. Does that make sense?????? The Dolphins will be much improved and that will prbably not be enough for the New Englands, Pittsburgh's and Philly's but it could be enough for the rest of the NFL. We will have to wait and see.

I stick to my original expectatoion. 8-8 at best.

as a football fan, i can look at our team say,..."yeah, we have some problems.."

but as a Miami Dolphins fan i gotta say it's never irresponsible to expect the best. there are a lot of positives that are occurring this year so, if you don't mind, i would prefer to focus on these rather than harp on the negatives.

I assume full responsibility should my dreams become shattered while in my custody.

There, I signed a waiver. Happy?
