Bears | Ayanbadejo Signs Contract Extension
Fri, 4 Nov 2005 19:44:22 -0800

Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/11/nfl">Chicago Bears LB Brendon Ayanbadejo signed a two-year contract extension with the team. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. They just resigned Brendan, that assures of the conditional 7th from the Bears in next years draft. Not that is worth alot.

wait i thought it was a conditional 6th round. Either way it is nice to have more picks.

I thought it was a 6th? Well either way, we need all the picks we can gather.

WOW!! was it a sixth??

What were the conditions involved with the draft pick?? Surely it didn't involve signing a contract extension. Generally it involves making the roster, being active a certain amount of games or playing a certain percentage of the team's offensive/defensive stats.

I'm skeptical to say the least.

I hope its true, you can never have too many picks even if they are for developmental type guys.

I'm looking at the situation this way....

IT'S BETTER A 7TH ROUND PICK IN SABAN'S HANDS THAN A 2ND ROUND PICK IN WANNY'S HANDS

Or even a First in Wanny's hands...

Jamar Fletcher come on down.......
Eddie Moore limp on down......
ANYTHING IN SABANS HANDs TRUMPS ANYTHING IN WANNYS HANDS!!!

I still have a hard time understanding why we let Brendan go. I thought he was a great fit on this team.

I liked him. I guess Saban didnt think he fit the D

maybe not starting, but he was a monster on special teams.
