You heard it here first....I feel that the team chemistry is coming together a bit more, and Saban will pull out all the stops to get a win under our belt to boost confidence....and with Brown being in the lineup, I think that will be extra fuel in the tank

i'm gna go out on a limb and say we lose... u heard tht here first :goof: ... I think the steelers will have too much for us.

one of us has gotta be right... hmm... who's gna take the draw

I think Saban wants a win to build a little momentum after an 0-2 start....I see him playing Gus and the starters more and I predict a 24-21 win. :)

I'll go out a bit further and say it will be a tie. One of us three has to be correct ;)

And the one other possibility is that the game gets called due to weather. There is a good chance for severe storms in Pittsburgh this evening.

I can't help but only care about the games that count!? Ya know the one's we watch film, study, practice, and gameplan for? New coaches, players.... its all about us and implementing the system. I do hope we simply excute well.

:fire:

The weather better not ruin the game, I spent two hours of kissing a$$ and sucking up to my better half aka fiance so I could watch the game. If weather makes the game canceled, I will flip out and climb atop a McDonalds sign and threaten to jump

That would be nice but all that matters is that our #1's and #2's look like they have improved and play well. The score is really meaningless.

Now next week we need to be leading when the #1's leave the game in the 3rd QTR, if not I will be disapointed.

I think that it doesn't matter what the final score is. The win/loss doesn't count, and I pray that we have no injuries. Thats the biggest one for me, I want everyone to be able to play day 1 of the season. So give up 1000 points if you have to, just keep everyone safe.

Has a football game ever been called for anything short of a hurricane?

I've never heard of such a thing.

agreed, as long as we see improvement in the 1st teams, I'll be happy. These are just glorified scrimmages so cares what the final score is. Who remembers what New Englands preseason record was last year?? ;)

Good luck with your future, you will need it!

I think what Saban wants to see is more of the defense doing what it did last time, with the backups looking much better. On offense what he wants to see is first downs and moving the chains. He also does not want to see any fluke plays givin up (what did we have like 4 last game?).

I dont think he really cares about a win so much as he wants to keep it close in the fourth so that when a game counts they can start gameplanning around the defense to pull off wins. In other words, if we lose it wont be a big deal, but if we play mistake free ball, then we are progressing towards winning when it counts.

Things I care about:
Turnovers: Gus cannot throw Ints and Lamar Gordon and others cannot fumble.
Moving the chains. If we move the chains consistantly, particularly on third downs, then everything else will fall into place.

Oline improvement from last week would be awesome. If Mckinney and Hadnot can stick together and prove they belong, then Ricky and Ronnie will make holes themselves.

Players I keep an eye on:
Ronnie Brown, for obvious reasons.
Gus and particularly Feeley, cus if he sucks tonight, he will be gone!
Vernon Carey
Mcmicheal, when does he get into action? hiding out.
Lance Shulters because we need him to step up into the first team for depth there.
Travis Daniels. does he play tonight? and last but not least.................
Lorenzo Diamond.
