Look at the other AFc second place teams:

Pittsburg: 4-2

Jacksonville: 4-3

Kansas City:4-3

I don't think anyone thinks that there are 2 playoff teams coming out of the East this year.
 
yeha and look at the wests third place team, san diego- 4-4........we have to win the division or we wont make playoffs i agree
 
Winning the division is the only absolute way of getting a playoff birth, so I say do it!

But, with Jax, Pittsburgh, SD and KC's records, we're only 1/2 to 1 1/2 games behind them.

But I say win the division first, then worry about the Wild Card next

Yeah we beat the Saints, and we have a chance to win the division? We will not win our division. Unless we win it with a 7-9 record.
 
Being 1 game out of first place, we are allowed to talk playoffs. If we are 5 games out of 1st with 6 to play, then yes, to next year we'll go.

can u be sure of that? y are u such a pessimist and dont say ur beig rational because we have all seen the pats play and we have all also seen what were capable of.
 
How about win one game at a time instead of looking at the BIG picture.
