Hey everyone. I live in Ohio, don't get too watch many games, and work on sundays anyway usually.. I can only judge on a few games, what people say and idk..Madden ratings?lol. Oh and a few games I went to when they played the Browns. I'm going to try and get more into it this year though and learn more about my team.

From what I seen as our depth chart we look like we have a few weak spots..Just wondering about your thoughts and realistic opinions of the positions!

RG-I noticed we seem to have a battle between Shawn Murphy and Donald Thomas. I don't know Donald Thomas and I never heard that Shawn Murphy is a viable starter. Who's looking the bets right now and can they hold their own?

FB-Don't know much about any of them.

D-Line- Just wondering about your opinions here. I thought Matt Roth was pretty good, I was wondering why he was so low on the depth chart and I realized he's injured I guess? Thoughts on him, Langford, Merling, (where Taylor is playing?), and Ferguson.

CB-So who is our second CB right now? I always liked Will Allen and I can't figure out who should be playing across from him. Our rookies seem to be impressive so far but I havn't seen anything.

:thanks:

Well at RG we have 2 second year guys everyone loves Thomas and for good reason the O line looks so much better when he is in there. Murph seems to be getting attention though and thats nothing but a good thing.

At fullback Polite did a very solid job for us last year esp on short yardage his run blocking is nothing to write home about but he gets the job done..

Our D line is a strong point on this team now except for the depth at NT.
Roth converted to OLB so he doesnt play the line in our 3-4 now and yes he is hurt.
But we have a lot of quality depth at the DE's/

Our Cb's are solid Will Allen is the best of the group and the vet.
Sean Smith the rookie from Utah is slated to be the starter out the gates he has the size and speed that makes most people drool. Vonte Davis is a physical freak and loves contact they seem to be the #2 and #3 depending on what coverage we are playing Nate Jones keeps looking better and better to me and Jason Allen is still Jason Allen

RG - Murphy and Thomas had a nice little competition going, but I think Thomas has locked up a starting job. He's very strong and has a lot of potential. Good to see Murphy show up, he will make for some good depth, and that will certainly be needed on our O-Line.

FB is a weakness on this team. Polite was money on short yardage last year, but if Brown can't pick up those same 3rd and 1's then we have problems. Polite certainly isn't as good a lead blocker as I'd like. I'm really hoping Lex Hilliard can develop into a nice FB for us. I feel he brings everything to the table that Polite does, we'll have to see how his blocking is.

D-Line is one of the strong points on this team. Both with starters and depth. NT can use some depth, but Solai has looked good in preseason so far, and he certainly has talent. Hopefully he finally puts it all together, because Ferguson could use the rest. We're set at DE I'd say. Langford and Starks are very solid starters. Both are great against the run, which is key for 3-4 DE's. Then you got McDaniel and Merling who make for great backups. Great thing having depth on the defensive line because Sparano likes to rotate the players in and out alot. Merling will see alot of action on 3rd downs, he's probably our best pass rushing DE.

CB - Definately looking like one of the Rooks will be starting opposite Will Allen, and I'd put my money on Smith as of right now. Smith has been impressive all of TC and played great his 1st preseason game. He's the better of the two in coverage and his size is a huge advantage. Davis will probably end up as the Nickelback. He's a great tackler, great in run support. He's solid in coverage. Had some dumb penalties in Game 1, but played very good in Game 2, starting in Smith's absence. I have high hopes for our Rookie duo at CB.

I'd say WR, O-Line depth, ILB depth, FB, and Special Teams are our biggest weaknesses on the team.

Well, it's easier to keep track of WR's and what not so I know about them. And I've seen that our ST's is weak.

One thing I did forget to mention is that, to me, it seems we don't really have any stand-out players. Taylor is back and can be that guy on defense, I'm hoping Crowder develops into one..And obviously Ronnie Brown. Everyone seems to to get the job done and hopefuly we can have a good year.

Thank you both for your information though =D

I always love to have a great blocking FB in front and if Polite is good at short yardage that's fine but a RB should be able to get a yard or 2.. I'd rather have a blocker. Especially on a team where possession is important and pounding the ball is a big concern. I always liked Roth and Merling and I think I seen Roth went to LB last year..but I started working every day near football season. I work at Target and Christmas shopping starts then lol. Anyway, glad to see the line recover. And I always look for improvement in our DB's.. We havn't had much depth IMO. And with 2 rookies as your number 2 and 3 you have to expect rookie mistakes happening often.

FB is probably the most glaring weakness that is on our team. A lot of the other spots that are mentioned have a lot of young guys and they'be gauged as time goes on.

The thing about Thomas at RG is how strong he is. When he pass protects he goes at the lineman and stops the guy dead in his tracks. Most linemen take a step back to pass defend, he goes at the guy. Holding a 300 pounder at the line of scrimage is incredible to watch......
