a team is only as good as its weakest link, just look at last season.
who would would you rank as our top ten weakest starters right now?

i would have to say:
10. vonnie holliday dt
9. lance schulters fs
8. gus ferotte/aj feeley qb
7. heath evans fb
6. olindo mare k
5. keith traylor dt
4. travis daniels cb
3. jeno james lg
2. tebucky jones ss
1. frank middleton rg

sure this is a season of rebulding, reworking and retooling, however we do not have that many holes on our team. a lot of these guys are good, solid players that would could start for multiple teams. its a testament to the quality of the other players. last year i never would have thought jeno james would be one of our weakest players...

im interested what everyone else's opinions are.
of course, this is based on who you speculate to be starting...

on a side note, if i had to pick the weakest starter in the whole AFC east, id have to say mike gandy buf. id hate to be in that position again where the weakest link is the LT.

I think any list of weak starters that doesn't put our qb's at number 1 is inaccurate. Hopefully Gus can stretch out the positive's he showed in MN, but I'm a realist about Feeley.

I'm not very knowledgeable on offensive linemen. It sucks to see #1 after we just got him.

i'll do top 5...

1. Seth mckinney (as of now hes the starter)
2. Donnie Spragen / Junior Seau (seau with his injuries/age, and spragen has never been that good)
3. Travis Daniels (rookie)
4. whichever QB
5. Tebucky Jones (hopefully he can turn it around)

Mare is A LOT better than most teams kickers.
i like J. james. and think he will be good.

alot of those people may not be starting at the begining of the season.

and DEFINATLY, M. Grandy is the bills weakest starter, but i dont htink he will be the starter at the start of the season.

LT Carey has to be on that list somewhere...while he as done well in camp, he really hasn't played a down yet ? Can he maintain the momentum he's gathered into the regular season ?? We'll see...(#4 on my list)

Weakest link...I wouldn't put a healthy Middleton on that list..but can he stay healthy.

Tebucky Jones belongs there, I see him as about equal to Knight and Knight wasn't that good. (#2 on my list)

Seth Mck belongs on that list somewhere...( #1 on my list)

The Daniels, again only because we don't know what he will do once the real thing starts...We have an idea of what he CAN do, but [see Carey]...(#5 on my list)

Whoever is listed opposite T. Jones as FS...Tillman hasn't shown anything yet, Bell has an injury history, Schulters will probably be the starter come Sept, and then that position would go off the list. (#6 on my list)

If Gus is the starter come Sept, then he belongs on the list...he is a journeyman career backup at best. He has proven he cannot handle the starting job over and over...He is better than any QB we had on the roster last year...(#3a on my list)

If AJ is the starter, he belongs on the list until he actually proves something. He has the potential, arm and all, but he'll still be relatively inexperienced as a QB. How he develops will tell a lot about our team's success this year....If we get into a ping-pong thing with him and Gus...it'll be a long season...(#3b on my list)

apparently the o line has made vast improvements under houck, so for now i'll leave them off the list and say that our weakest starters are at qb and whoever starts opposite of madison.

So middleton has been handed the starting rg job after only a couple of days??? Wow, if that is true NO WAY does he belong on your list little less number one!!! In fact some of the players you have on that list aren't even currently listed as starters.

Saying this team is in rebuilding mode is merely a sad regurgitation of what ESPN says. We get enough pessimism from the media IMO. So let’s reserve our judgment until we've had a chance to watch them play a preseason game or two. Then make your list if you must.
