Wednesday Evenings Practice report

Alabi had been switching from LT to RT until tonight, when he worked soley at backup LT. He took it too JT on one play, but he got in a little cheap shot at the end. Then on the next play he tried to lock up with JT but he was holding JT's throat a little bit, cause JT to smack his arm away, and stare him down. JT's replacement was sent in immediately. Overall though this kid was doing OK.

Kevin Vickerson has a lot a lot of potential. Today he was giving McKinney fits during one on ones. He was one of the main Tackles clogging the middle with the backups. He also got some work with the first team and continued his beating on McKinney. He is in the mold of a Carter. Not only does his upper body look strong, his legs can drive. He is a good project if he is willing to put the effort in.

These are two guys who I initially thought were fodder. It seems they both have the potential to be really good. I'm especially surprised with Vickerson...what a steal he may turn out to be!!

Thanks Ozzy!!

thanks once again ozzy great report man i love this ****.................. :D

Thanks for the great report Ozzy.

It looks like that Vickerson has changed his attitude and is more focused in the game. It looks like that we are going to be doing some major changing on the OL since Smith and McKinny aren't doing so well.

I like the way Saban is handling everything. He is no non-sense and I think that is what we need right now. I'm getting very excited about this season.

Thank you so much Ozzy for the posts... It's great that you are keeping all of us in the training camp loop. I trust your words more then the media!

And can someone please make David Hyde from the Sentinel shut up!? I mean, let's have open discussions in the media, but I'm tired of him always slamming my team. Is the glass always half empty Dave? He is probably a Jets fan!

That's what I'm talking about, and the secondary has got to get better, if they cover a little it will allow the DL some time to get to the QB, even with all the pressure scheme for the DL's and LB'rs, a WR zooming by the DB's will beat that scheme every time..Hopefully Lance hasn't lost his instincts.

I guess it depends where your sitting because I was glad the security guards made everyone sit down. I was in the second row of the bleachers and everytime people stood up at the front to take pictures I couldn't see

thanks for the great report

Well, you can also thank the tight security for this. People that wanted pics used to be able to go by the rail up front, or down by the fence.

Hey! You dont happen to have season tickets in the club section do you?

Wade Smith was a tight end for 3 years in college. A ball in his hands is not unfamilar to him.

He sure was, but the way he cut into the gap made me think he might have been a Rb at one point, maybe in pop warner.

"BTW, I herd that Chester says he is going to be ready, well he better lay off the rice because he is way out of shape."

Ozzy, this is kind of funny. A Sun-sentinel story yesterday seemed to disagree:

"Chester, who is on the physically unable to perform list, recovering from last season's knee surgery, vowed to return by the Sept. 11 opener.

"I don't care if I have to die in the [fourth] quarter, I'm going to be there," said Chester, who has dropped 35 pounds since February and is down to 330.

"It's not so much about me rehabbing. It's more so getting my leg back into football condition and the rest of me, too."

I remember a couple of seasons ago, he was up to 380.

I wish Chester could read this. I've seen him in camp since he was signed, and he is way out of shape right now. I'm thinking he was more like 380 to begin with.

Now he may be right but still you can tell he is not in good shape at all, so he dont have to worry about dying in the 4th, it might happen on the 1st, 4th..........down. :)

Thanks Ozzy!!

A lot will depend on pre season games, and of course, injuries, but my thinking at this point is both of them being leading candidates for the practice squad.

I bet one of the reasons for such high security has to do with Ricky. Ya know, somebody having the urge to show up and pop him...

appreciate the read. Thank you for taking the time out and letting all is fins fans know the inside of what is going on
