I don’t see a Jaguar news and comment thread so thought I would post one.

. "We're pretty healthy at this stage," he said. "We anticipate having everybody full strength going into this week."

Pederson, they’re coming in healthy

Their secondary has all new coaching and some new players in Darby and Savage from Green Bay.

Didn’t we roast Darby before?

Here’s an article on their secondary

Pederson hasn’t decided who’s gonna call plays

“Pedersen met with the local media ahead of the Week 1 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. He says that he hasn't made up his mind yet but could let them know Wednesday, jokingly adding that "maybe we'll never know."

they are going to put up points. They got good receivers and tight ends and backs. I don't know where we are going to get a pass rush. Phllips might not be effective yet. I am worried about that. I hope seiler and campbell can get us a rush. What about chop?

We will need to put up a lot of points. Doesn't their secondary suck?

Dolphins are a 3 point favorite. Phins 31 Jags 27 is my prediction exceeding the sportsbooks of 49 points.

Looking forward to seeing our new and improved O take the field. McDaniel is in his 3rd season and he knows that even after his contract extension he still has a lot to prove to the fans and the NFL on Sunday.

Secondary has two new corners, new defensive coordinator
Sisco is a pretty good safety but they signed two safeties off the street about three weeks ago, two old vets..

Adrian amos being one of them I forget the other

If this rookie from Texas is good out the gate they might have something but the rest don’t concern me that much

Thats a very good question, definitely a key to the defense. What does Phillips snap count look like? Can Seiler, Ogbah and Campbell create enough pressure. Do we see 3rd and long packages consisting of Chop and Tindal rushing the passer?

I really dont know how the defense is going to look to say whether or not we are going to have to put up points. Youd expect a slow start for them given the new scheme and lack of playing time all the starters have had together.

Is Phillips going to play? That would be incredible.

Gotta be straight BS, how the hell could you be getting ready for week 1 undecided on who is calling the offensive shots? If true, I change my prediction to 76-3, fins.

Have you looked at last year's stats?

Their rushing attack was not very good.

If we allow them to score a bunch, our D isn't what I think it is. As far as pass rush, I think we'll be fine in "and long" situations. It's the "and short" downs that concern me a bit.

I have and I am still concerned about teams running on us through the edges and even up the middle when seiler and Calis are not in there.
I agree I am worried on short downs as well.

Honestly I have a feeling this d might give up yards and then get turnovers or big plays that stop drives with guys like holland, ramsey being used in different ways.

They'll probably keep swapping out Ogbah/Kamara and Phillips/Chop to keep them fresh, with Chop playing obvious passing downs.

Agree with you. I also think it’s going to be a high scoring game.

Well I'm not going to lie...if it is ...and I'm not saying that the jags will score next to nothing...I'm just saying if it's in the late 20s or 30s I'm going to be a little disappointed in the maiden voyage of our defense this year because we should have enough talent to cap it between 17-21 allowed...
