Week 1 Dolphins vrs Jags week matchup thread

I have and I am still concerned about teams running on us through the edges and even up the middle when seiler and Calis are not in there.
I agree I am worried on short downs as well.

Honestly I have a feeling this d might give up yards and then get turnovers or big plays that stop drives with guys like holland, ramsey being used in different ways.
You're not the 1st I've heard say that they're worried about the run game when Seiler and Calis are out or gets hurt. I have been trying to remember whats different this year from last year when Seiler and Wilkins were out? I really think our inside LBs are much better. I do agree with worrying about setting the edge.

It's a good thing that we're playing at the Rock...the fans will be going nuts and we're going to be victorious in the end. I predict will win by a touchdown and a field goal - 10 points or better!

Go Dolphins!

It's probably a good idea to lay off those 70 Burgers until we are well into the season. - LOL

I hope this team hasn’t forgotten again what happened the year before and how they lost the division in embarrassing fashion.
They’re at home so being complacent is a thing the first week.

Hope McDaniel can piss them off

Just watch this little clip of Achane and the smooth nature thru traffic then look at his physique at the end of the clip.

This dude is gonna be faster this year than last, lighting fast

I think the most anticipated thing I’m looking for in Tua is if to see he’s trending towards understanding how to manage game situations, that could be to take the check down to convert, take off and run, look off a covered hill and not throw into double coverage.

Gonna be low scoring, first team to 20 wins.

Most offenses need a few weeks to ramp up.

I’ve gotta respectfully disagree. I’m reading over and over again that we can’t take Doug Pederson and the Jags lightly but I don’t see many people mentioning that Jax’s Defense was bottom 10 in pretty much every pass defense metric last season as well as being in the bottom 10 at sacking the QB.

I think by the end of the season, Weaver’s defense will be formidable but going into week 1, Miami’s offense is ahead of the defense and there will be points aplenty for both sides with Miami ultimately winning by 10+ points.

I’m thinking 41 to 28 with both QB’s throwing for a **** ton of yards. Ultimately Tua plays a clean game, Miami wins the turnover battle and that’s the big difference.

Oh, and I also think it will be one of those games where Tua comes out slinging and the offense lights up the scoreboard heading into halftime and then bogs down a little in the 2nd half but still has enough juice to secure the week 1 win.

I can't see McDaniel pissing anybody off. He's far more likely to make them chuckle.

And you might be right, but when everyone else zigs, I zag.

Jags have a great defensive front and we are unproven on the oline. The Jags players all practice, our players all picnic.

I hope Im right TBH, because if the Jags put up close to 30 points we are gonna lose.
