not even remotely worried about the final spread of this game til sept. all i know is kiko is killing QB's and i've always felt that after having a full offseason to prepare for a gimmicky style offense that it seems to be figured out. Not that a very mobile QB is a gimmick, but basing your playbook on that qb's mobility is. I'm not going to take anything away from LJ, i didnt want us to draft him high, if he fell to us cool though. But had we drafted him i would prefer it be one of those things where he should take advantage of his legs if necessary. Kap as strictly a football player wasnt the best QB but he was very advantageous when it came to taking off and running, I think Allen in Buffalo is trying to be the same way, but when passing is secondary to the QB and your offense i just think you can game plan it easier. You're going to bite and get caught a couple times maybe, you jsut have to hope that the rhytm isnt there that its a big gain or that its completely horrendous of a pass. Also we have to remember...hopefully with this coaching staff we will have a game plan instead of saying, here's what we are going to run week 1-17, last see how it works

Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins

Sunday, September 8, 1:00 PM EST

Free NFL Pick: Ravens -4.5 (-105)

Bookies opened the market on this clash with the Ravens favoured at -3.5 (-110). Since early doors and the influx of early betting, the line has moved in favour of the Ravens. So much so, they are now laying 4.5 points. That’s a substantial jump given that the season is far from week 1, and we are yet to get a real sense of how these teams stack up.

I think we have a shot to win the first two games outright against the Ravens and Pats.
I'll take the points........keep em coming!

There is less known about the Dolphins than any other team in the NFL. We have new coaches, new players, new schemes and nobody knows who's starting at several positions, including QB. To bet at this stage is no different than flipping a coin. An astute better relies on knowledge and right now, there isn't very much.

We'll have a better idea after a couple of pre-season games. I don't expect Flores to show very much pre-season but he's got to run something. My gut feeling is that we're quite a bit better than people are thinking. That's based on the fact that I love our core of young talented, hungry players. The QB room got better but the big thing is that the coaching is much better. When we get off to a good start people will realise how poorly coached we were.

There seems to be a consensus player talent is same as to worse than last year. No one can disagree, there are new players, a new scheme, and players learning a new way to play their position. For those in that camp, any showing above 4 wins has to be either, a) Gase had more talent than ralized, or, b) Flores is a much better coach than expected. I think this year will be about the coaches.

Ravens are a perfect offense to limit with high level defensive scheme and gameplan

Tight end heavy in tbe pass game and run game based where the QBs legs are a more consistent threat than the arm.

Exactly and they should be a low scoring team. Normally if the game is close at halftime, the Dolphins pull away at home in those 1:00 scorchers.
