Week 1 - PFF After Action Report - Jaguars vs. Dolphins

I said this in another thread.

It isn't just that he was ABLE to. It's that he did it. We have not seen this as one of Tua's strengths, or our OL.

I think people underestimate how valuable this is.

Last year, we got clobbered when the D took away our first read. It would usually result in a sack, or Tua making a mistake. I think this was the greatest factor in our demise in the second half of the season.

In this game -- our o-line gave Tua time, and he clearly went through progressions without getting flustered.

Tua is also processing stuff faster than year 3.

Gottdamn, dude. If it weren't for the nonsensical stuff you post, I'd call you a genius. Enough with the lemming juice stuff and just give us your 200 year old knowledge.
OK
They didn't play NFL football 200 years ago.
Is that better? - LOL

We shall see kimosabe! And my angst isn't really directed at you persae, I just have seen a lot of people all the sudden snuggling up onto Eichs jock and claiming we all should have known better. We're 4 years into this project.

So, sorry for the animosity 😁🤙

Either way hes not gonna be a Fin next year. 🤪
If he plays well at RG for 10 games or so, it would not surprise me if they give him an in-season extension like they did with Jackson last season. They offered Hunt an extension last season too about the same time as they did with Jackson, but he turned it down for a big payday. Of course, they would not offer Eich anywhere close to that amount, but perhaps a small bump in AAV over his rookie deal. Chances are, if we're betting cash money, they let him reach free agency, but it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to sign him on the cheap for 3 years.

Yup, I bashed him obviously as well.

People can agree or disagree with PFFs rankings or equations, that's fine. But that doesn't make their opinion or evaluation any better or credible.

I agreed and saw the same of Eichs play at G which has been horrible up to this point.

However, he played a good Game Sunday. It's possible he turns it around. It's possible him being able to focus solely on RG helps him. But it's not because of anything he has actually already shown previously.

Brewer is a diferrent story. Brewer may have been a misevaluation or wrongful criticism. But again, the problem is when you conflate the 2.

I will always admit when I am wrong. I believe if you cry about the bad, you should be able to speak about the good. I question whether some will be here next week with the "I told you so" if Eich stinks up the joint against Buffalo. Or even Brewer. Something tells me they will go dark or talk about how it's 1 bad game.
How about we all agree to give them about 10 games, Eich, Brewer, and even Jones, then make an assessment? Right now, Jones concerns me much more than Eich does.

Amen! Its sad we always seem to have 1 player that is constantly under attack no matter what (AJ and now Eich).
I was endlessly criticizing Ajax last off season, then he made me eat crow. Saying things like I wished they'd re-sign Brandon Shell, who played at least middling in 2022, or sign someone like Cam Fleming who played well under Barry in 2022 at Denver. Of course, they did not listen to me. They never do for some reason. My phone calls to Grier with my self-proclaimed helpful advice were never returned. The nerve of that dude.
So anyway, I hopefully learned a lesson, and will wait until after the last dog is hung before saying Eich is a lost cause.

I like that 80 yard pass Eich threw for a TD. I was truly impressed. 😂
there would have been no 80-yard TD pass without great pass protection. Hill was even Tua's 2nd read, so he held the ball longer than he usually does.
