Week 1 - PFF After Action Report - Jaguars vs. Dolphins

I was endlessly criticizing Ajax last off season, then he made me eat crow. Saying things like I wished they'd re-sign Brandon Shell, who played at least middling in 2022, or sign someone like Cam Fleming who played well under Barry in 2022 at Denver. Of course, they did not listen to me. They never do for some reason. My phone calls to Grier with my self-proclaimed helpful advice were never returned. The nerve of that dude.
So anyway, I hopefully learned a lesson, and will wait until after the last dog is hung before saying Eich is a lost cause.
You’re a good man Sir. A man who can learn lessons in life is a true man.

I thought the O-line had a solid game overall. Hunt's penalties were a bit frustrating, but by the 4th quarter, I felt the OL group was starting to push around the Jags allowing us to eat the clock. Good first effort by this team and hopefully their development continues.

There was a lot of Eich bashing going on to the lead up of the season. Hopefully he quieted some of that down with his play. He isn't ever going to be a Hall of Famer in this league, but he is and can continue to be a solid contributor

I think our OL (and the rest of the team) started a bit shaky. Perhaps that’s on coach McD and perhaps it’s a result of the Tyreek/Calais/Jonu police experience. Nerves were rattled. BUT we seemed to progress as a team as the game went on, and that includes the OL.

How about we all agree to give them about 10 games, Eich, Brewer, and even Jones, then make an assessment? Right now, Jones concerns me much more than Eich does.

That would be a fair suggestion. 8-10 would be a good sample size.

After last year, let’s hope we get 10 games out of some of these guys, period. Meaning, stay healthy for 10 games.

One game doesn’t yet quiet it down. But the good thing is that Eichenberg has another opportunity to prove us bashers wrong on Thursday night.

I welcome being wrong on Eichenberg.

You might want to consider some "re-wording" there. - LOL

And I welcome you being "RONG" 4 times in a row.
Do you remember his play at RG at the end of last year? - LOL

I blame it all on being the 1st game of this season.
Hey, that was easy. - LOL

People need to worry less about Eichenberg and more about Jones.
The Jags game was a concern. Jones has shown some ability to not be a detriment over the course of his career, though. Hopefully Sunday was an aberration and he will be back to his average self.

I remember his play everywhere. I wish I could forget.
