Week 1 - PFF After Action Report - Jaguars vs. Dolphins

That topic was broached a lot in his defense but some folks just seemed to fixate on sacks allowed and there was no wavering to considering the circumstances.
Was the win rate info you saw by Next Gen, or by PFF?
Saw it in an ESPN article from the day of the signing. Don't know where they got it from.

I've been a Eichenberg defender for awhile... just kept saying, "he's a better Guard than anything else"... and while I was glad to see his plus game yesterday, he does have to continue playing well to really convince me that he's arrived.

I think he can, but I won't swear to it. He gave us a really good game, (and Jones a really bad one), but it was just one game. It'll take more than that to actually prove anything. He could face plant on Thursday... and then we'd be right back where we started.

The only thing I can say is, "keep an open mind".

I thought after watching his reps last year that he was best suited and his best reps were on the left side, I was wrong there as the team thought differently

Evaluating OL is very difficult. You really need to be a collegiate level coach, or former offensive lineman yourself to have an understanding of what in the hell they're doing out there, and how to evaluate them. I doubt there's anyone on this board with that type of knowledge/experience. They are lots of fun to complain about though, stupid fatties!

Hell of a play by Fuller here. Busted his hump to get back to the backside contain.

Enjoy...

I'm glad to see it broken down that way. When Acho tweeted it on Sunday, his focus was all on Ramsey. He was key too, but no one was more critical to the stop than Fuller.

Ogbah beat his man clean and prevented the cut back. Ramsey had the sideline, Ogbah the cutback. RB then had no option but to reverse field.

If this is what we can expect from Jonnu Smith, we were all way off on what he was bringing to the team.
I admit I missed badly on what we were going to do with him. Hopefully, Mike is waiting to unleash him on the Bills

This reflects what I saw, and what I sort of expected.

Eichenberg is a decent Guard.

The reflexive hatred of Eichenberg is due to the fact that he isn't a Center. That said, he was willing to play there to help the team, and play there while battling a leg injury, take the flack from the fans, and not complain or make excuses.

Rob Jones? Well... he had a poor game, and he's the player with the target on his back. Those brothers who keep posting that they hope Wynn returns so that Jones can bump Eichenberg out of the starting line up? They're wrong.
If, and it’s a big if unfortunately, if Wynn returns it will likely be at left guard bumping robert jones out which would be good. It’s LG he played and played well last year. Unfortunately, it’s unclear if he will be able to play anytime soon.
