Week 10: Dolphins BYE WEEK Rooting Interest

I kinda want the Pats to win here. I dont want to see them get a high draft pick and a new QB that can actually play.

Belichick might just be arrogant enough to not draft a QB in the first. Hey, he drafted Brady in the sixth; he can do it again, right?

Not concerned with the past. I’ve invested 57 years in the Miami Dolphins. Now is my mantra… and should be their’s…. and, respectfully yours, my friend. I hate the Patsies and their fans, but there is still one truth we can’t deny: the Pats, under Belicheat played in 9 (?) Super Bowls and won 6(?). The “damage” to Don Shula has already been Done. We know how special Don was… winning a LOT of games with QBs NOT named Brady. I The WoodStrock SB appearance was a MAJOR accomplishment. Shula is Shula. The great Don.

Maybe an interesting discussion to have during a bye week lull.

At this point, for most football fans DS has been relegated to more a character of historical trivia, rather than the GOAT that primarily Dolphin fans portray.

It's akin to comparing Grant to Eisenhower.

Grant had his time, but I doubt anyone believes he would have been suited to pull off Overlord, as opposed to the Overland campaign.

Another, perhaps better, example is Joe Paterno and Eddie Robinson. They lead NCAA D1 in wins with 409 and 408 wins respectively. Does anyone outside of Penn State or Gambling really believe they are GOATs, or that they could realistically coach the game at the highest level as it exists today.

Not bashing Shula. He is a legend and deserving of accolades. I do question if his style and methods would work today, not to mention how much more complicated are the actual Xs and Os in the current iteration of the game.

It's an amazing accomplishment, but the fact most of those SB wins, there was a controversial reason why they won that year, will follow him forever.

Though in the future people will just see the SB appearances, and wins, the information of things being done to give his team an advantage will always be there also, and will hurt his legacy.

Right or wrong to put so much stock in it, but Shula did it the right way, and Belichick always tried to find an underhanded way to give his team an advantage. Not a coincidence that when he behaved himself, and did nothing deceitful, they rarely did nothing, reached a SB, or won one.

Pats offense is so bad. If they did nothing but hand the ball off to Stevenson they'd be ahead by 14. Instead they think Jones can do something. I got news for BB...he can't. Jones so bad.

Edit: corrected spelling of his name.

Meh, I think the legacy will be more damaged by the fact that he accomplished virtually nothing as a HC without Brady.

That seems more glaringly obvious to me than the cheating accusations as a primary reason for his success.

If you are subjecting yourself to this abomination of an "NFL Game" this morning, and you are not bowing at the feet of Mike McD and TuaT and Reek et al. as a Dolphin fan, then I just don't know WTF you are looking at on a weekly basis..... It's like watching paint dry in this game. But glorious at the same time watching Belichick suck a huge dong sans Brady, so I'm conflicted....

Shula is the GOAT because he won championships with different QBs. He adapted his style to the talent on his team. He was able to plug in his second string QB and remain undefeated.

You can see on Mac’s face that the coaches probably told him this has to be his game or else. He blew it. You can see it.

I hope Mac Jones goes to another team and becomes a Solid QB. Good kid in a bad situation. Just like Tua with Flo.

We’ll see.
Denver has won three straight and their defense is playing a lot better. Bills offense is now just Diggs...this is great opportunity for Denver to turn their season around and hand us a solid. Go Broncos!!
