*I like my weekend in Miami so I decided to take a few days off and stay around the town. Wow! I bit all my finger-nails off and my heart is still beating faster than Ted Ginn Jr. running a forty yard dash but a WIN is a WIN.

Before I get

Before I get started in my regular non-sense I saw Chad Pennington on Jim Mandich's Touchdown Club and wow is he is a class act. He really still prepares like he is the starting Quarterback and I think there is a good chance he starts somewhere else in 2010 such as the Redskins, Raiders, etc. but Chad you will always be in the man in my eyes as what you and this team accomplished last season was the greatest joy in my world of loving the Miami Dolphins.

Now onto business...

I want to make this very clear right now the Miami Dolphins are not a playoff team this season; a brutal schedule at the beginning of the season has this team in a major hole with some tough games ahead. With that said this Miami Dolphins team is very resilliant and is a GOOD NFL team. Their young players are really stepping up and Parcells and Companies drafts has this team loaded with young talent.

There are two pieces of the puzzle that just don't fit and those are Ted Ginn Jr. and Joey Porter. First, Joey Porter has a tremendous season last year but has been awful this year. It is clear to me after Sunday's win against the Buccaneers that both Charlie Anderson and Cameron Wake are better football players than Porter at this point of his career. I do not see any scenario where Joey Porter and hishefty salary are brought back; either he plays well for the rest of the season and we move him for a draft pick or he get's cut. His production is down and his runs his mouth; Parcells will not tolerate players who talk the talk but fail to walk the walk. Ted Ginn continues to be a major disappointment. I thought Ted Ginn would have a 1,000 yard season but he regressed more than any player on this team. On the opening Offensive play of the game Chad Henne threw a ball that good players catch and guess what... it was dropped. Ted Ginn Jr. has become invisible; Is it worth reserving a roster spot on a guy who solely can return kicks? He almost lost us the game Sunday on the Buccaneers final kick-off when he watched the ball roll to the 10 yard line. It is safe to say that Ginn's days in Miami are numbered

Ronnie Brown in my opinion could be done for the season; though it seems like the injury is not major I think the organization plays it safe. It's an ankle and foot injury and given the fact that no-one seems to be coming out and saying what the injury officially is scares my shoes off; Do we lose a beat? It remains to be seen but I think dialing down the Wild-Cat a bit could help us and help the growth of Chad Henne. Ricky Williams has been running better than Ronnie this season to be honest and I think Ricky Williams could run his way to Hawaii with Ronnie out the lineup. Lex Hilliard and Korey Sheets each will have a chance to prove themselves.

Here are things I noticed about the game....

*Wow having Channing Crowder and Jason Ferguson back was HUGE. Crowder played his best game as a Dolphin

*Charlie Anderson was very impriessive as was Cameron Wake. These two young stars really can apply pressure

*Jason Taylor is a Hall of Famer. Another big play for #99 in Miami

*Josh Freeman didn't really throw the ball Vontae Davis' way. Vontae is out-playing Sean Smith right now.

*Another Tight End, Kellen Winslow, abuses Yeremiah Bell. This is a major problem

*Gibril Wilson is starting to play much better for us. He was very good in coverage on Sunday.

*Kory Sperry.. Who knew? I think this guy opened some eyes and I see him getting more chances. I also believe Anthony Fasano's injury is more severe than they are leading on.

*Kudos to our Offensive Line for a good game. Don't forget to vote for the Pro-Bowl as Jake Long currently leads the votes for Offfensive Tackles in the AFC. When Donal Thomas my heart sank but he finished the game and finished strong. Nate Garner player very well in place of Justin Smiley who should return from injury as it seems his shoulder wasn't as bad as intially thought. With that said Smiley is "injury-prone" and having a solid insurance policy would suffice.

*Davone Bess had his best game of the season including two HUGE catched on that final drive. Bess isa good player but just needs to get his confidence up.

*Chad Henne's intecerption was god awful but they way he bounced back was marvelous. Big time throws from a Quarterback who is surrounded by mediocre receivers.

*I am convinced that Dan Carpenter is a very good kicker and he get's my gameball. Dan Money kicked 4 field goals and finally had some pressure on him and again he comes through.

The Panthers game is a game I marked as a lost before the season started but now that we are over the half way mark this is a game we can WIN but we got to play like we did against the Saints in the 1st half of that game.

What worries me...

*With Ronnie Brown being out I think Dan Henning will force Pat White onto the field more. While Pat White is an exciting played his body of work shows that he has not been very effective. The Wild-Cat is not an offense as it just a formation that will hide some of the offensive issues we have.

*Steve Smith; I remeber when this guy abused Sam Madison for 3 touchdowns and think our rookie corners have their work cut out for them. We need to apply pressure on Jake Delhomme so he doesn't have time to find Smith.

*DeAngelo Williams/ Jonathan Stewart: The only two headed monster better than Ricky/Ronnie in Miami. DeAngelo Williams is now a star in this league and we need to TACKLE. We need to warp up and gang tackle because Williams is tough to bring down; remeber our pre-season game against the Panthers?

What I like....

*The Panthers have the 25th ranked rushing defense in the league. Julius Peppers is playign with a broken hand so he only is playing on passing downs. Ricky Williams should find nice holes and our offensive line should have a big day

*Jake Delhomme is a turn-over machine and folds under pressure. If we can stop the run and force the ball into Jake Delhomme's hands I like our chances

*Jordan Gross is a Pro-Bowl Left Tackle and he is out for the season. Our pass-rush rotation of Jason Taylor, Joey Porter, Cameron Wake, and Charlie Anderson should be foaming out of their mouths.

I feel like this is a guy where a big special teams play could be what decides the game; You hear that Ted Ginn I am calling you out.

My prediction Dolphins 23-Panthers 20

I really think Vontae Davis will shut down Steve Smith if they put VD on him. VD is the perfect player to cover Steve Smith, he is big and physical and can jam him a bit at the line and then has the speed and agility to keep up with him. That being said Steve Smith is an All-pro reciever, if you sleep on him even a little bit he will make the best corners look silly ( Sam Madison )

Sean Smith should match up well with Mushin Muhammad too.
