as the only one who actually faced a winning and division-leading team of those "hot button" QBs selected because they're frequently brought up on FH as the standard bearers. Not too shabby, eh?

Telling...LOL

Excellent quote by Clay..

Andrew Abramson@AbramsonPBP1h
Clay on Tannehill: "You put him in that situation, he doesn't flinch at all. He just goes out and plays ball ... He played his tail off."

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 31m
Wallace on Tannehill: "He's making this his team every single week. Week in and week out the team gets more and more confidence in him."

Ryan now has 23 TD's vs 14 picks and has rendered any ridiculous statistical attempt to show he's just mediocre irrelevant.

Sherman was right when he said preseason Tannehill would be the most improved second year guy. He is.

So the conclusion is that he was better today than those other QBs were today?

If so, I'm in full agreement.

Update: primarily to include "the Chosen One of Class 2012"... although Newton arguably had one of the best days, and whose extreme 3rd year progress is hopefully an encouraging portent of things to come for our promising young and still raw prodigy

Hey look, on top of having the top numbers of that group, Tannehill was also tops in getting sacked. Can you imagine this guy when his O-line starts to consistantly give him the type of time most QBs get.

Andy Dalton still blows. Said it before and will say it again. The more I see of the Bengals, the more I realize their QB is A) a terrible road QB, and B) holding that football team back.

Incredible job vs Bilichick as well. Absolute stud performance.

he's improving weekly. I do not know what more you could ask from the guy. sure he has to improve his deep ball, and keep getting better at evading pressure with the subtle steps while keeping poise. but what second year qb is perfect??

B-b-b-but Awsi says he's the bestestest QB evarz11!1!1!

So Dalton fails to do something that Tannehill did just one week earlier: go into the ketchup bottle and walk away with a W.

Nice desperate whiff. Find one post where I ever raved about Andy Dalton. There's one poster here who belittled Colin Kaepernick and Andy Dalton this week. Naturally based on today's results he totally ignores everything he posted about Kaepernick and highlights Andy Dalton's struggles. That's laughably pathetic par for the course on this site. I wasn't going to mention it but you opened the door.

My post the other day was in regard to that particular poster saying Andy Dalton "sucks." I would have ignored it if he hadn't been that overboard. The Bengals have a very good YPPA Differential. The vast majority of it is based on home games. Regardless, if a quarterback puts up those type of overall numbers there is plenty to work with, and the team would be foolish to give up on him. I agree with what Rodney Harrison said tonight, that the Bengals aren't mentally tough. Sometimes that can linger for years, or it can quickly reverse. The Bengals are not the same team without Geno Atkins.

The fans who watch a handful of games and loudly repeat the simplistic theme of the moment are never going to earn any respect from me. It's the Jim Rome version of sports analysis, loudly repeating conventional wisdom and acting as if it's your own discovery. Congratulations to all.

Bungles went from playing for the 2 seed to maybe needing to win out to get in.

no the conclusion is that you should still be ashamed of yourself for putting up so much garbage during the offseason....that would be a nice start
