When will the NFL pick the week 17 game for SNF? This tuesday or next tuesday? If it's next tuesday and the Dolphins and Steelers have both won, then they'd be smart to pick our game [especially after they admitted they should have kept phins-pats]. It would be for the 6th seed in the playoffs, unless the Jaguars win their next 2.

I wouldnt count on it. Just look at last year week 17 vs the Jets. That game shouldve been flexed to primetime. If anything theyll flex Brett Favre and the Vikings again i bet since NFL seems to have a hard on for him.

Brett Favre and the Vikings usually makes sense here but I gotta think that the Vikings will begin resting players if they can get that two spot locked up. If that happens the NFL will explore another avenue and based on current teams out there looking for a Wild Card, etc., I gotta think the NFL would like to get the Steelers into that primetime spot since they draw huge ratings. The Cowboys could land in that primetime spot if they're still looking for a spot as well.

But to actually answer your question I don't know when it's announced lol. Probably next Tuesday.

You would too if he was putting that kind of money in my pocket. Brett Favre is ratings GOLD.

I didn't think they had a sunday night or monday night game for the last week, that's what it looks like on the schedule and years past, i think the last prime time game is on week 16

The Chargers/Broncos game was flexed to 8:15 last season.

They announce it next Monday (6 days in advance . . . good chance we know on Sunday night as last year they flashed the Bronco's/Chargers matchup on the week 16 Sunday night game). There are special rules with flexing for week 17 so the league can "guarantee" some sort of playoff berth in primetime.

There is actually a GREAT chance we get flexed . . . but it will require US beating the Texans and Pittsburgh beating the Ravens next week.

If that happens, that could create a winner in/loser out game week 17 . . . and the NFL couldn't ignore the defending champs in that situation.

They didn't flex that game because it wasn't winner in / loser out and the Chargers/Broncos was . . . and was FOR the Division title.

If the Jets wouldn't have choked towards the end, that Fins/Jets game would have been flexed to primetime. We still got flexed to the 4 p.m. slot.

i am happy we didnt get flexed in the end last year, bc i was able to go to the game, it was pretty good weather, and we won.maybe we wouldve lost if the game was at 8, who knows.

and if they ever put the vikings in primetime again, i will puke. most people who are real football fans, rather watch a good game, than one stickin old fart, who all he does is crave attention.

if ppl can only watch a game bc brett favre, there not real football fans.

and with all this ratings crap about favre, if thats the case, why didnt the jets get flexed alot last year if its all favre and he draws great ratings?

the reason favre drew high ratings this year is bc he played against his old team twice, so those 2 games were the reasons y. if the nfl thinks that a favre game vs carolina, or atl, or etc, will draw great ratings bc its favre, there damn wrong.

god i hope this guy retires real fast and never hear from him again.

Yea Brett is fading once again . . . I chose the Vikings to win the NFC before the season and before Brett came there . . . but now I'm starting to rethink that.

eagles or packers will win the nfc. guarentee it.

Cardinals are a tricky team as well . . . they can beat anybody, and lose to almost anybody. When they are ON, they are tuff to beat.

That defense carries that team . . . hard to believe with Warner/Fitz/Boldin and the company . . . but when Dockett, Wilson, Dansby and company are playing good ball, they are tuff.

ya cards r dangerous, but i feel that the packers r just so complete, there offense is so dangerous the way rodgers is playing, plus jennings and driver, and finley starting to emerge, plus the running game with grant.

and there d, aside from yesterday, has been playing rlly well.

as for the eagles, i just love that team. great d in my opinion, puts pressure on qb, to lockdown corners, and there offense is so dangerous with d jackson breaking out, plus there getting production out of the tightend with celek, and westbrook should be back.

as long as its not the vikings, saints, or cowboys, i dont care who wins the nfc.

Well CBS could protect the Phins-Steelers game right?

Also-the Vikings have been on primetime way too much, isn't there a limit? It's BS. The last two times the Vikings have been on SNF they've gotten blown out by the Cardinals and Panthers and the ratings dropped in the second half. I will flip out if it's the Vikings again. The Steelers and Dolphins are both nationally popular teams that draw as well. Screw the Favres.

zero chance we get flexed. Especially if Indianapolis wins this weekend. They will get flexed even though they are playing Buffalo week 17 just because the NFL will want to showcase them potentially finishing the regular season undefeated.

Maybe if the Pats didn't do it 2 years ago . . . but it doesn't mean AS much as it did back then, especially with NE not winning it all.

But hey u could be right, but that would suprise me. That game, or the defending champs in a winner in/loser out game.
