Decent Jags team this year, wont be an easy game! Odrick will be up for it  Bortles may not be a total mug anymore

Week one road victory and you don't even give it 24 hours?

I feel you though, there has been far too much crying on this board.

I'll officially end last week on this note . . . . . ALL FIN FANS WHO STILL AREN'T HAPPY WITH OUR WEEK ONE WIN:

Ok . . . . On to Jacksonville.

What do the Jags do well?

hmmmm?

I don't know..it is another road game which are always tough.

As much as I like the strategy of going defense 1st I would prefer to go offense and let them get rolling.

If Tannehill settles then I see little to worry about, but again...it is a road game.

Will be interested to see how much Vigil plays next week. Sheppard sucked (as expected) but I was surprised to see Vigil playing what looked like a decent amount of snaps at MLB

Ok . . . . On to Jacksonville.

After seeing this forum postgame, I was ready to move onto week 2 after 24 mins never mind hours

Let's start here. Did anyone watch the Jags/Car game yesterday?

Odds makers had it ,Miami at -4...they knew it was going to be a hard fought game...we won. Now move on pants pissers. BTW, wear khakis...the piss stains don't show as much !

Expect a lot more cut blocking on the D-line...Washington was pretty effective with it early. Also, short passing game like Washington had early on...problem is Bortles doesn't have that kind of patience so he may try more deep shots. Hopefully Reshad Jones isn't out this week with his hamstring injury.

Offensively we've got to do a better job running the ball. Jags have a decent D-line but we should be able to establish a running game so we can take some deep shots down field. I would expect the Jags will pay close attention to Landry and Cameron after last weeks game...Landry's a given but Cameron really showed up with some nice catches downfield.

Bortles was 22 for 40 for 183 yds with 1 TD and 2 INTs. He was sacked 5 times. T.J. Yeldon rushed for 51 yds on 12 carries. None of their WRs did anything memorable.

Their defense had 2 sacks and Paul Posluszny had their only INT.

Nothing about them impresses me and I expect Miami to want to come out and try and score early and often to kind of shake the rust off of only scoring 10 offensive pts vs. Washington.

Think the jags game will be easier then this one. They looked baddd yesterday against a Carolina team that I don't think will look very good and RT looked very good against in 1quarter of pre-season.

Bortles will be better this yr but this is still only what his like 13th start? Fins take it 23-10.

The Jags have a decent D, but I don't think they have much of a pass-rush. Grimes Pick 6 Bortles last yr.....I expect a repeat.

For what it's worth, one of those Bortles picks was when his arm got hit as he was throwing. But he's still a bad quarterback. I thought Bortles had potential coming out, but it really looked to me like whoever was coaching him flat out ruined him last year. They changed up his throwing mechanics and he was absolutely godawful as a rookie. I haven't seen anything yet to convince me that he's turned it around in year two.

Jacksonville should be a tough game on the road for us. Remember last year, they did EXACTLY what Washington did to us in the first half yesterday, eating up the clock so that our offense could never get on the field. We were sunk in the first half by our terrible left guard play (Colledge) who singlehandedly sunk two drives, before Joe finally pulled him out. Will we see a repeat with Dallas Thomas? I actually kind of think that's the best case scenario for our team going forward.

Washington played physical, chippy football. This game is gonna be tough, boys.
