Week 3 - Bills @ Dolphins TV Coverage

This game should in theory be the CBS 4:25pm national double-header game. As a resident of New York City, I was 100% sure that the schedule of the local teams would allow the Dolphins home opener to be televised in this area: the Giants play Thursday and the Jets are hosting the Eagles, meaning that is the early 1:00pm FOX telecast. So with the CBS late game slot free from obligation to show the local NY teams, CBS has decided to show the crossover Bears@Seahawks game instead. I guess CBS gets this game because FOX had too many NFC matchups.

How can CBS not understand the magnitude of this game as well as its interest to Jets fans??? I'd be curious if anyone knows whether what my program guide is showing is "official" or whether the true network coverage is not made official until the NFL Maps are revealed during the middle of next week.
 
I'm not sure how official they are so early, but I have seen them change in the DFW area.
 
If Rex beats the Bills, his press conference bluster after the game might make them change it...

The irony is that this week's Dolphins @ Jaguars game is being shown as the single CBS late game here in NYC opposite the Cowboys @ Eagles FOX double-header game because the Jets play Monday night. So if CBS is willing to show this week's Dolphins game here in NYC then, yes, I would expect Bills @ Dolphins to be an attractive matchup.

So that's why I'm "looking ahead" to the Bills matchup, assuming that the Dolphins should win this week.

I would be surprised if that game isn't shown here in NY. No one cares about Bears-Seahawks and that could be a matchup of 2-0 teams.
 
Way too early to accept this will be the game. Living in western CT, I get both NY and CT CBS stations so I have to believe 1 of them will air the game. If not, I'm gonna be pissed. I love Red Zone and all but come on.
 
I hear you! I'm pissed because I'm traveling to NY this weekend and need to be at a show at 5pm. I figured I would be good if we played at 1 BUT NO. We play at firkin 4!! ughhhh

I just noticed that it was a CBS double-header week and CBS only has two games listed from which to choose as its national 4:25pm telecast. And with the local NY teams not playing in that time slot, it provides a rare opportunity to enjoy a Dolphins telecast with sound, unlike at a sports bar.
