Week 3 Highlights + Gase, Tannehill, Grant, Wilson, Quinn And Wake Press Conferences

oh and props to Wilson and Grant (and presumably the rest of the WR group) for working out with Tannehill 2 times per week all offseason ( you know, the workouts Landry deleted pictures of so he could pretend they don't exist) that offseason work is paying off bigtime right now

hope someone can help a UK Dolpfan understand something about the Wilson pass to Grant and why it was allowed. Looking at the highlights of the play Tannehill hands the ball off FORWARD before the toss back to Wilson on the double reverse who then throws the ball forward again.

Does the forward hand-off not constitute a forward pass, therefore rendering the second Wilson pass illegal? Loved the play but not sure if it could have been called back by a different referee. Sorry if its just me being naive. GO PHINS!

It’s only a pass if it leaves the QBs hands and travels through the air, otherwise it’s a handoff(run).

Thanks for clearing that up :) Lets run it again against the Patsies - they won't be able to handle the speed!

andyC- and just in case u didnt know- any forward lateral behind the line of scrimmage is a pass when it leaves the hands of the passer- whether overhand, underhand, pitch, etc.... so if it's dropped theres no fumble.

thats why those two motion scoring plays (Grant and Wilson) are done as pitches. It is difficult handing off at full speed and if you muff it as a forward pitch its just an imcomplete pass.

Not an issue as a handoff is a handoff, regardless of the trajectory.

That play was just the tip of the iceberg for what's coming.

I absolutely love the chemistry this team has right now ...the way that Wilson and Grant talk about eachother is like a brotherhood.

This is going to be a great year, I can feel it.

What’s funny is all the people given gase **** about the chemistry and culture he wanted in the locker room.
