How long has it been?? The Miami Dolphins have the number one rated QB in the NFL. Ryan Tannehill has a QB rating of 106.6, which is tops in the NFL, (not even including his 2nd TD). His, 167 yards passing is number 3. His 8 yards per attempt was 2nd in the entire league, and he was one of only 3 QBs to have thrown 20 or more passes, that did NOT throw a interception.

I love the coaches are bringing him along slowly, but I have to say I was very happy with his play during his first game, whether it was vs 2nd stringers or not.

I hope so. I was against starting him but I think they should if he continues to mature through the preseason. The third game is the test. Let him start. See how he does. We know what we have in Moore. So if it does not go well we can let him sit for a few games.

Any idea what his QBR would've been had that first TD not been overruled?

A consistent playoff team from the 70s-early 2000s. Been to 5 superbowls and I think we are due for this proud franchise to get back on top..this has to be it!

Uh, guys, it's preseason and how many of those Bucs are going to be on their starting day roster?

Starting day roster? You mean opening day roster? Those that Tannehill faced, most if not all. Devlin, not so much. Sure those guys won't be starting for TB, but the guys that were blocking for Tannehill (except Martin), catching for Tannehill, and running for Tannehill won't start for Miami either.

THANK YOU!! Look guys I am not saying he is going to be the best QB in the NFL I am just saying he is off to a good start, better than I expected. I was just saying it felt nice to be back at the top, even if it was just for one preseason game. He WON'T stay there. The one thing I DO know is he is gonna start throwing picks, taking sacks, and making bad decisioins. That is what rookie QBs do, especially with the WRing core we have. It just felt kinda nice, if that is offensive, sue me.

One promising performance. Just as you shouldn't feel down about him if he had a terrible game, you can't get too excited with one positive game. We might be feeling collectively slightly less excited if that ball to the front corner of the endzone gets pick 6'd as it should have and the floater over the DB to Wallace gets snatched by a better, more aware DB. Then we'd say he's a gun-slinger who has to learn to reign it in.

He went out there with confidence (heck, it's his old offense from college) and slung it around. I'm excited for him long-term, but please be ready for a game in the very near future when he throws multiple INTs...in fact it HAS to happen for him to learn and shatter his confidence for the first time. Hopefully it happens in preseason...I actually want him to get spanked by a defense so he can start working on the things he needs to work on sooner rather than later. He's obviously quite smart and I expect him to be able to learn from mistakes quickly, so I'd rather chance and luck (e.g. dropped INTs) goes against him early and in the preseason. If he makes a bad throw/bad read in the preseason or in practice, I want him to pay for it, not be forgiven because he's going up against less talented players who couldn't make the play.

Holy crap you guys are hilarious! Way too up and down. You do realize Tannehill was playing against 2nd and 3rd string players. You do realize lots of those guys won't ever be NFL players. Ryan Leaf looked like Joe Montana picking apart 3rd stringers in preseason. Where is he now? Please take a reality check before you start comparing "Week 1 QB Ratings". Getting all excited because he's ranked higher than Brady, Manning and Brees! Complete Nonsense..

Talk to me after the REAL "Week 1"!
