Weird Article on Sun Sentinel???

That's way too tame for it to be a hacker if you ask me. I think it's more likely that some reporter wrote joke copy and somebody used it by mistake.

It does seemed like the Sentinel has been hacked. LOL. I like this guy's version of things better than reality though...LOL.

That does seem like a more likely scenario.

Back when Culpepper's status was in doubt, I kind of hoped he'd debut in week 2, so we could have the headline:

Saban takes Lemon, makes lemonade

Maybe it's a shot at all these fans whose expectations were too high for a team with so many changes. It's showing the results of what they expected in the first game, outlandish stats.

Very good point. We're still a team in transition. Nick Saban is an excellent coach, but even he can't fix the damage Wannstedt and Spielman did to this team in a year.

No doubt you handicapped it right. It's too boring and irrelevant to be intentional.

In college I had something similar. The lead staff members at the Daily Trojan had to be up at the office until 2 or 3 AM and often I'd get drunk and write gag copy on the computers. One time I rambled on and on, fairly graphic about what I'd like to do with two of the top babes on campus. Well, a month later that article showed up in the annual spoof issue. Distributed to thousands. One girl on the staff was looking for copy and found that on the computer and used it, without telling anyone.

My name wasn't on it but there were enough references to make it unmistakable who wrote it. I was literally stealing every copy I could get my hands on and trashing them. At one party I grabbed 50 and hid them in the washing machine until the party was over.

Didn't work. One of the babes saw it and traced it to me, practically running away from me every time I passed her on campus. I guess it's supposed to be funny two decades later, but damn. :(
